@dlrunner121 I sound much better than paul potts, suck it, i wasnt arguing if he was famous or not, i was stating that his voice sounds like crap and is not pleasent to the ear, so stfu, and go back to kissing his ass
I love Pavarotii...and I love Paul... they bring their own gifts to the table... not to out do.... but only to share.... just relax and enjoy the experience of hearing someone who loves the music and the hearts that listen...carry on Paul... you are a good man...and thank you for braving those in the crowd that are confused...Pavarotti would have only encouraged you.... carry on...the future is full.
This is weak, too fast, sung too high and it really mangles the Italian language...
Some people have mentioned this guy in the same comment as Pavarotti... get real people..... Still good o see that Opera, even Opera-lite can still get some mainstream attention....
WOw you have to give it to Paul...those ladies were exceptional and powerful. What a fete of wills for Paul to stand up and sing with all of that beauty and exceptional female talent. Wow.
This scene has many people singing in Traviata. Therefore, the ladies were great... since in the scene of Traviata there are at least 50 people singing at the same time.
I agree with gotglasses that this performance was much better than one I saw earlier. The women were not so overwhelming, but were so pretty together. And the last one, blowing a little kiss to Paul as she accepted his rose was just delightful.
Thanks for posting this! This performance was much improved, as live performances should, from what we saw in New York, IMHO. There I felt there was some competition in the ladies' voices, here there was a change that made this "quartet Brindisi" sound harmonious. Now - I've heard duets that were worse at full productions of the opera. All these people have GREAT voices and this Brindisi was a more successful showcase of that.

To say Paul Potts and Pavarotti in the same breath is an insult. Unreal.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
not really, the real insult is saying that pavarotti is dead, as pavarotti's musical legacy will never die.
