I've got miui 1.11.25 on my samsung galaxy s2. Should I follow the same step to update my rom as mentioned by you in this vid or is there any other way to do so?Will updating my rom delete all my contacts, sms and apps? Waiting for your speedy reply :)
i´ve some questions about the Loading-Screen at minute 4.53, when the HTC is starting.
I really like this kind of Loading-Screen style, and i want it on my Phone. Can I download this especially Style or do i need the Miui_au 0.12.03. Is it maybe on a newer Miui-Rom, too?
1.1.7 is actually the version I tried in the first place. I did some research and turns out some others have the same issues with boot loops in version 1.1.7 as well. Should I try flashing 12.31 first, then updating to 1.1.7?
I'm using a htc evo. I'm not sure what you mean by if I updated it on install a new rom. I followed your steps completely, just stuck on boot loops. Any ideas?
@jialuenlee1 do you update it on install a new rom?
if you update- you sure you have done everything properly? meaning- wipe cache ? if yes, try to also wipe devlik cache. and the most importantly- what phone do you use?
I wanna ask you this, Did you had your phone ROOT and an update came from your provider let say, if a 2.2 Froyo coming in and your phone is root, is that safe to update if that possible? I know you said you didn't need to have Froyo for this but yea thanks sorry if I'm being too much pushy lol
@redx210 yes, I had 2.2 from vodafone, then I rooted the phone, and installed different rom. but as Im saying- it doesn't matter whether you have 2.1 or 2.2 installed, because when you root the phone you gain access to the system, and when you install new rom, the previous software is being deleted- and I mean all of it. so even if you had 1.6 installed, you could still install 2.2 on it.
Yea, Ultralinx made a comment about he said a "free" ROM Manager will install it for ya but I was scared to try it.. I also been seening people saying that I need to UPDATE my "Radio" i have current for new one I didn't know how to flash the radio I forgot mention that last night can you also make a video for small of it if you got time? I thank you for it :)
@redx210 you install radio exactly as you install new rom. just wipe cache, install radio, then install rom. but yes, I think I'll make a vid tomorrow or something. Im kinda tight with time right now.
Okay I've learn so many damn things today, I haven't attempt to TRY to install that MIUI yet until I get "baseboard" AKA Radio flash, can you make a video HOW to FLASH using ROM Manager for easiler, i DO know how to root and unroot after 1 full day learning Lol... -_- basically newb I am yea, would be nice if you can..
@redx210 I was thinking of making videos about how to root/unroot most devices, but I never thought of installing roms via rom manager. I think you need to have full version of it, don't you? if you don't then I will probably make the vid tomorrow or on sunday.
Okay do I need android 2.2 Froyo for this? I'm on Cellular south CMDA model phone type and there is alot of stuff in my mind about this I been seening something about S-off and suchs Do i need something that required to get MIUI going? I know Root is one of it, I wonder if there more to put in before I even put custom ROM MIUI on my HTC Desire...Thanks!
@ILxxxPELA Im not sure. however, I wouldn't do it.
I mean the language files are inside each application, so if you install the language files you will replace newer files(from 0.12.3) with older files (0.11.26).
I mean that's my way of thinking, so better ask on xda-developers forum, but Im quite convinced that I'm right.
About to try this for the first time. Rooted and Rom'd last week so this will be my first update on my Desire HD. 1.12.2 to 1.12.9.

@jialuenlee1 Im not sure if it makes any difference.
did you do a full wipe? including wipe of system, boot, and all others (except mcard obviously :D ).
and where did you get the rom from?
because that whole website (miui-au.com) is only for the Desire users..

@jialuenlee1 and steps are exactly the same, only need to get that rom from the description rather than the one for the Desire

dose this rom use GSM, Noobish question I know
d24tdi 1 year ago
@d24tdi it does.
every rom uses GSM :)
as far as Im aware it doesn't matter whether it's 4G, 3G, GSM, or anything else, it's all in every rom.

@redx210 no need to run froyo first.
you basically have to root the device, and then install rom, which ever you want.

but ask to make sure.
and thanks, Im trying my best :)
TheGadgetsReviews 1 year ago
@TheGadgetsReviews Thanks for the answer....i think you have right however why some app are in my language?? it's right or not??
ILxxxPELA 1 year ago
@ILxxxPELA some apps are in your language because they have been made to be in your language.
and some other apps have many languages.
but the rom has only one language.
i mean there are some roms with few languages, but MIUI has only one.
it obviously states that it has more, but only english works properly unfortunately.
I'd look here: miui-dev.com/forums/forum.php for help.
