  • I just did this for my 4,3 and 1 year old! (he's really a year and half) And they LOVE it!! I'm so excited to do this for them for holidays and just for fun!! Thank you so much for the video!

  • u look like that little girl from little miss sunshine, forgot her name lol :)

  • Does it even last one to two days when youre having a shower with it? xx

  • just a word of advice you should be doing it in just downward stoke motions, because going against the grain can damage your hair and sometimes will hurt when you do it

  • i see demi lovato ;)

  • Does *

  • Dow this chalk work well with dark color hair? Mine is dark brown. .. Not sure if the chalk will show up .. ?

  • @rmalacas yes it will, kandeejohnson just made a video using it on her dark brown hair :)

  • how long does this last??

  • @itsallieyeaah until you wash it out.

  • u remind me of Emma Roberts :) and ur hair is sooo cute!

  • Demi! at 2:33

  • Oww going against the grain is really damaging :/

  • @HauteBrilliance if you do this again, i'd suggest telling whoever chalked your hair to only use downward motions when applying the chalk so it doesn't tangle your hair as much (:

  • you look like emma roberts! :O

  • if you dont wash your hair the the next day will it stay longer?

  • @xSasuNaruAmutox it will last until you wash it out :) it will however come off onto your pillows

  • One you look and talk JUST LIKE Emma Roberts lol two your mom is awesome three love your hair so pretty

  • youre suppose to rub down not up up damages your hair!

  • That's so cute

  • This is so cute and you have the BEST hair!

  • I tried this out today, but the store I went to didnt have chalk pastel or whatever its called so i bought oil pastels. I barely had to wet my hair and it turned out really nice! It is now a light pink haha your favorite color :D

  • @lovelymegan16

the oil pastel is gonna stain your hair..

  • Can you just wash it out?

  • @honeyglitter1 Yes :)

  • omg i loveee your haaaaair ! xDD

  • I went to Michaels and got the same brand of soft pastels she has. I have dark, very dark brown hair so I don't know what you guys are doing because it totally worked for me! It looks super nice but it dries your hair horribly. Maybe put some hair moisturizer in spray form after you're done.

  • i tried it half an hour ago and my hair is dark brown and the results were grey even thogh i used blue and pink chalk :(((((

  • I have chalk pastels by prisma color Imma try this thanx for the awesome video your hair looks beautful

  • you look like emma roberts in this video

  • FANTASTIC! I'll make it!

  • SUPER,SUPER,SUPER.

  • It works better if you twist the hair and rub it on. Anyway, ere in Australia the pastels are more expensive :/

  • i bought the wrong ones and got oil pastels....it doesn't work. so get the soft pastels like she did.

  • I have dark hair and put white on first let it dry and then used the color I wanted :3

    Vote up to help others?

  • @Jadespeakschinese Good idea!!

  • @Jadespeakschinese omg, thank you so much sweetheart!

  • @Jadespeakschinese Watch kandeejohnsons video, she just made one with dark hair

  • omg ur hair is soooo pretty and this is sooo creative i really wanna try it :D

  • Though this is a really cool look. It is damaging to your hair. Chalk draws out the natural mpisture of the hair, so you need to deep conditon your hair afterwards to get the moisture back into your hair. Mind you, it is better than using bleach on your hair and killing it that way

  • so im not the only one -.-

  • If we straighten it,won't the chalk come off?

  • My friend wants to do this but she has black hair. Will it work? Please answer :) oh and awesome vid!!

  • @crazycookie56 it will show up very lightly, more like a shadow then actual color

  • I love your shirt! Where's it from?

  • This is so cute.. I am going to do this. (:

  • @puppy13 use white first, then the color... you have to be patient though, i did it with my friend who had dark hair and she used white first and the colors really popped(:

  • @shadyladyy14 Yes you can... that's what id do(:

  • @maliyakj its not bad... I've done i 3 times and it doesn't hurt my hair... but only go down so it doesn't break your hair.

  • Can you do a wholre strip of hair?

  • does this get on your clothes?

  • i really would love to try this but i have naturally dark brown hair. would it still be noticeable if i were to still use bright colors?

  • @puppy13 i have black hair....i tried lime green, cobalt blue and red...they all showed up really well!

  • I cant do this till I turn 13 uuugghhh

  • uhh do u have to wet ur hair before you put it on

  • wouldnt it show up good on dark hair. because its a bright color on a dark background???

  • Can you use normal sidewalk chalk?

  • Doese it come out if you shower or doese it stay in

  • @BeautifulllyMe When you take a shower it comes off.

  • She answers your most questions in the video

  • Fshionfiesta933 it stays one day , it says on the description

  • How long does this stay in your hair???? Is this healthy for your hair???

  • this is really cool! xx

  • What else can you use instead of chalk?????

  • Bluexrage2 she said soft just use your mind and read in the discretion !!!!!!!

  • Oil pastel or soft pastel?

    Difference?

  • @bluexrage2 IT SAYS SOFT! OMG -_-

  • Comment removed

  • @bluexrage2 oil pastel will make your hair sticky :/ and soft pastel is dry so it won't make your hair clump.

  • @bluexrage2 yes i tried the oil pastels and it did not work at all!

  • @bluexrage2 Soft! :)

  • @bluexrage2 soft pastel, oil pastel wont work that great and make a mess

  • @bluexrage2 soft pastel, oil will stain

  • @bluexrage2 soft pastel

  • @bluexrage2 Soft pastel do not use oil pastels they will stain your hair

  • @bluexrage2 soft pastel!! oil will strip your hair

  • @bluexrage2 soft pastel would be a chalk pastel, non oily

  • @bluexrage2 Old pastel won't get out on your hair! Soft pastels does come out.

  • @bluexrage2 Soft pastels are easier to use and last about 2 to 3 days

Oil pastels little more difficult but do last alot longer xx

  • @bluexrage2 oil pastels are oil based, and soft pastels are wax. :)

  • @bluexrage2 don't use oil pastels it is too sticky and messy u want the soft ones

  • @bluexrage2 u gotta use soft pastels cos oil will make ur hair look weird...

  • @bluexrage2 Soft tend to stain your hair where chalk just wash out

  • Don't do this on a rainy day! Otherwise, this will become a "DIY Rainbow Colored Shirt" hahaha.

  • this is my FAVORTIE video!!!!!! it made me subscribe!

  • it work perfect and comes off in about 2 or 3 days

  • Does it rub off on your clothing?

  • @ilove2singnplay Not unless you seal it in with a flat iron or curling iron. :)

  • can you do it to short hair?

  • how long did it last?

  • looks a bit damaging the way your mom is doing that

  • she is listening to demi lovato ^-^ you got a new subscriber girl xD

  • Watching this makes me cringe!

This will give you SO many split ends :(

  • whered you get your shirt?? (: mee gusstaa

  • i tried this and love

  • @mandynicole09 does it work on dark hair?

  • @asianprincess1997 yes it does. just spray the hair with water cause that will help the color show. i have dark hair

  • looks easy

  • Great for summer

  • Fun

  • Your mom looks like Chelsea Handler.

  • does it work on dark hair? Mine is dark brown and almost black...

  • @xAlyssaLovesMakeupx Yes, it does though it doesn't get the same results. Just take a white chalk and let it dry a few minutes, then add in your desired color! (pink, blue, yellow, whatever) And then you enjoy! :)

  • you look like emma roberts :) so pretty

  • can you blowdry them when you are done for heat, instead of curling them?

  • @vanillacat14 hey, I think you can, but it wont last as long, when you are curling it, the chalk will be grinded in your hair..? i dunno, but thats what i thinks..

  • That looks amazing!! i think im gonna get some chalk!haha yeah ill probly do green ends for st patricks day...

  • either blonde or brunette you look really pretty!.

  • Demi Lovato on your laptop screen wooohooo:D love the video btw! Will this work on dark naturally curly hair? Xx

  • Haha I did this all the time in primary school, when my hair was still blond. That's like 12 year ago! Love it!

  • How do you know the chalks are the right ones when you buy them?? xx

  • your mum's so young and gorgeous! :)

  • how long does this last !!

  • Can you use sidewalk chalk?

  • Cool video & cool mum ^^

  • When chalking, you should not move up and down the strand or lock of hair, you should move in one direction only - down the shaft AWAY from the scalp. Do not do exactly what the 'stylist' is doing in this video as it will promote split ends or aggravate already split ends.

  • @nomalmondcrush yea it was driving me crazy watching her rubbing the chalk back and forth on her hair!! ugh, I was thinking, that can't be good for her hair

  • This is an awesome trick! Glad to have discovered it. The only issue I had is tht for naturally curly hair it kinda awkwardly straightens the individual strand so it looks slightly off... But thts ok

  • Can you just use normal chalk?

  • Awesome

  • @musicalchick12345 it is safe for ur hair because it's non toxic

  • i wanna do that soo bad but is it ok for ur hair?

  • it's a DIY video because she did it at home

  • or you could just click the subscibe button above the video...

  • HAHA SHE KEEPS SAY "I DID" :P

  • i dd it! its sooooo pretty! thanx!

  • does it wash out?

  • YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! i love you! lol... btw: i'm not gay. haha, well. You're pretty cool. How old are you!?

    -CYA

  • Does it work on black hair

  • @CandyFloss1706 not that well, sadly. i just tried it (and I have DARK brown hair) and it didn't work ):

  • Does it work on brown hair ?

  • @Missbergdorf yes it works

  • Your Hair is So PretTTyy!!

  • Does regular chalk work?

  • so cute will definetly try this

  • Is this healthy for your hair

  • @MaliyaKJ It's not 'healthy' so it isn't going to give you benefits. But she said in the video 'It's not damaging as it's just chalk'. :)

  • @MaliyaKJ it's definitely not healthy, but it's not that damaging either. it can only dry your hair a bit

  • OMG!!! so cool! so trying it!

  • looks like Ke$ha's hair! LOL

  • I'm trying this tomorrow for sure!

  • Does Chalk oil pasteles work?

  • Comment removed

  • you look like a prettier version of Mischa Barton

  • how long dose it stay in

  • Soooo cool! I am going to have to try this!

  • i did it it's amazingggggg

but it last with me for 1 night

  • This is so cool , thank you for teaching me how to color my ends without dying them !!! Thanxx

  • the best thing to do without damaging your hair is to twist the strand tight after wetting it and then running the chalk up and down it. It loosens a lot of chalk into that strand to soak in and takes longer to wash out.

  • You shouldnt rub it up and down because its harsh on your hair

  • is it look god at dark hear ????

  • do NOT use chalk pastels! She used oil(wax) pastels. I tried this with chalk pastels and it all faded as soon as I brushed the strands out.

  • @pamiskewl You SHOULD us chalk pastels! You don't want to use oil pastels for this because it could make your hair sticky, it isn't good for it and it will be very hard to get out. Chalking is supposed to only be temporary and only last for a little while so they will fade. (to get them out when using chalk you brush out your hair to get most of the pigment out and then shower) so if you brush out you hair after you chalk it will come out. You want to brush it before.

  • I did this today, and I got sooo many compliments. Tip: use darker or more vibrant colors since it tends to lighten throughout the day.

  • @SmartWaterAddictx did you use the same chalk she used? or oil pastels? because i have oil pastels, and some people say thats okay, but other say that itll damage my hair... help!

  • @AdrienneRos3 It was the same brand, but it was the "academic" one. It's the same type of chalk. I'm not sure what oil pastels will do, you may want to test it but I personally would get the same chalk that she has.

  • you used the chalk to your eyes?:P

(i mean the colour when you close your eyes)

  • Dies this work with oil pastels?

  • Hi, i did this all over the bottom of my hair, in bright red, i sorta dip dyed it with chalk !! xx awesomee thanxx babii :PPPPPPP so glad this i found this video!

  • @strawberry9871 where did you buy the chalk from?

  • @strawberry9871 what kind of chalk,regular chalk?,oil pastel?

  • @summerinthewoods its used with soft pastels

  • thank you,i'm totally going to do this!

  • You reminds me of Emma Roberts

  • whats ombre? haha my ends are lighter too! but thats cause i bleached them and then dyed them purple, but now the purple is washed out and its just a golden blonde, i didn't know that there was a certain style

  • @Clairel3ear09 ombre is when the hair goes from darker at the root to lighter towards the ends.

  • does it suits for short hair? :/

  • you say "like i said" too too much.

  • you look a bit like emma roberts

  • Lol. So ghetto

  • I tried this and I have chocolate brown hair. It works perfectly too! :)

  • i cant wait to try this!!!! <3
