My hybrid howls almost exactly like that; deep and almost ghostly. It never fails to make our hair stand on end when he first hear him break the silence outside in the middle of the night, lol. I don't know what it is about hybrids, they have SUCH a unique vocalization.

Hahahaha CUTE DOG! Love the name! I have the same dog (Native American Indian Dog) Who looks just like a wolf. Though people will ask when we go to the dog park "Is that a wolf!?" It's like "Yah cause we would totally bring a wolf to the DOG PARK!!!"

we had just adopted him, and one of the reasons his previous owners got rid of him was that he was an escape artist and was prone to wandering. He's a VERY large dog and could have easily jumped the fence. He was chained in the yard only while unattended until he had adjusted to living with us and until we were sure he wouldn't jump the fence and wander away.

Dude I have a wolf X and I have an 8' fence in my back yard. These dogs are incredibly smart and will find away to get out. That fence didn't stop him from jumping over it and chasing the deer. I had to install an electric fence in order to keep him in the yard. Cause once he is out he wont be coming back for about 3 days. I know why they have him chained up. Smart move make sure you extend your fence about 18" down into the earth as well.

Too bad but wolves and huskies have to be kept on some kind of line. My Husky once got away and was found nearly 10 miles away from home. Thank goodness a kind farmer took the time to call me. I believe they can be very happy as long as the owner takes the time to walk or run them a few times a day. We walk a few miles in the morning and evening and otherwise he lives in the house. I believe he's a very happy dog even though he can't be allowed to run off leash unless fenced. A fine breed!

It's a signal to other wolves that they are there and how many there are - it's also a form of how they tell each other where their place is amoung their group. Nothing to do with sadness or happiness.

he's not sad, we're not breeding him at all... he's fixed. and the reason he was chained up was because we had just gotten him and we chained him to prevent him from jumping the fence... which he easily could. see my other videos for one of him off chain and having fun ;)

They're not an actual wolf.

They were bred hundreds of years ago from part wolf and either malamute or shepherd and other dogs. Now they're just a purebred dog

Thank you for your comment, we did not "keep" Timber tied up, he was only on a chain when we first rescued him when he was outdoors unattended because he could easily jump the fence. After he adjusted to us and our family he was allowed free roam of the yard whenever he was let outside. Prior to him coming to live with us, he had a history of wandering off, so the chain was more for his protection than anything else.

Ok, first off, he is a dog, not a wolf. Secondly, yes, he is allowed to run around. If you take the time to watch some of my other videos of him and or read my previous responces you would find that he is not always chained up. He was chained up when we first brought him home because as you can see he is a very large dog and very capable of jumping over a standard sized fence. The chain was for his protection. After he adjusted to his new home we let him off the chain and he had free run of the backyard as shown in other videos.

That's good that he was eventually let off the chain. He's such a pretty dog and his voice is so cool. I knew a three month old husky puppy that was able to jump six foot fences. Huskies are crazy escape artists. My sister and I have two brothers, Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mixes (if you want, you can see them on my channel).

we got him from a dog trainer in WV, and he got him from some people who bought him from his breeders. Apparently the people no longer wanted him so they asked his trainer to find him a new home.

I own two female wolf hybrids-- both spayed-- and a male shepard/wolf who is a bit too young to spay. While they are beautiful and work for some people, like myself and my husband, breeding hybrids is against my belief. All three of mine are rescues from stupid teenagers who freaking didn't research and find out what they were getting. If you all care about this wonderful creature-- stand up and say no to hybrids!

However, I know of a few people that have inquired about her dogs (seems like if you question her about it, she wont tell you) that she was upfront with, about wolf lineage that was a few generations old. There is a lot of bad news that comes with this so-called "rare and exotic" breed. I know things (none of which are good) about the NAID and it's "creator" that would shock you.
