I was playing on hard, and I decided to go outside at night to get some wood to make ladders for my underground base. I made it to my logging area after killing some mobs. I got some wood while fighting off spiders, and went to leave. I saw 4 creepers, 5 skeletons, 12 zombies, 6 spiders, an enderman, and 2 spider jockeys, and I was lightly armed, low on arrows, no armor, with a stone sword. I quit, now I 'm looking for something to play as I fight my way back home. Thinking about Daniel Yount.

on hard too? nope, the most monsters spawn on normal, and all those mobs would be the LIMIT of normal

@TacticalBlue I WAS using a mod that made the "hard" mode more like "impossible" mode, by doubling the spawn rates, and I had the render on far, and my house was about a hundred, maybe two hundred, meters away. The mob count was just what I saw in the general path I usually take, not an exact tally of everything in the area. There were probably more that I missed, those were just the ones I noticed immediately. I haven't even played that world since then; I'm trying to find the best way through.
