You can't discredit something as a sport just because it has a part of entertainment. Boxing has just as much trash talking and showing off as MMA. But they both require hard physical and mental work. We have boxers and wrestlers train strength and conditioning with us in our MMA class. They're both sports requiring toughness, and to say something like that about either one is ignorant and disrespectful.

There is FAR more to fighting than just boxing and believe it or not, boxing really isn't tremendously effective when fighting MMA unless you have all the other components of fighting to back it up.
In order for you to punch someone, you have to get close enough to be taken down. Since I assume you train ZERO takedown defence, taking you down would be as easy as taking down a child for a trained MMA fighter.

@MultiKadafi If that boxer where to run into any K-1 crossover such as Overeem or muay thai fighter such as Anderson Silva, the boxer would get taken out on his feet as all pure boxer crossovers in K-1 experience. The only sport a pure boxer will ever make it in is boxing. They lack too many aspects of MMA to have a chance without several years of training. A boxer always has a strikers chance but once they lose their legs or get taken down it turns into know chance at all.
