Whale Shark and by the way a bunch of dumbasses think there is megalodon but the megalodon was actually a species of shark.They all died about 2 million years ago.There are no megalodons alive today.

The whale shark would get just as big, but is much slower and eats plankton/small fishes. The whale shark is the only "giant" shark alive today; Megalodon went extinct eons ago. The chances of a small surviving population are slim to none, because their modern prey would probably be whales. We would have seen them hunting by now if they were still out there.
I don't understand it. A Whale Shark that usually averages about 50 feet in length can survive in captivity. However a Great White Shark that only averages say close to 20 feet can't survive in captivity. I think that's a very perplexing thought.

That is a whale shark. Megalodon sharks are brothern of the great white (as they say) looks and all are the same (except for the massive size differance), megalodons mouth shape is also not flat like the whale sharks.

Actually, they'd be about the same size. Megalodons were hunters of other sharks, large aquatic reptiles and/or very large pelagic fishes. The whale shark would get just as big, but is much slower and eats plankton/small fishes. The whale shark is the only "giant" shark alive today; Megalodon went extinct eons ago. The chances of a small surviving population are slim to none, because their modern prey would probably be whales. We would have seen them hunting by now if they were still out there.

I don't understand it. A Whale Shark that usually averages about 50 feet in length can survive in captivity. However a Great White Shark that only averages say close to 20 feet can't survive in captivity. I think that's a very perplexing thought.
