  • how old is that

  • Amazing sound

  • Does this D9 comes from Holland? Because it says "Beemsterboer" on the side? I myself am from Holland, so I was wondering.

Great sound by the way, love to hear the turbo whistle.

  • what are you doing with this old equipment?

  • this is a big fucker

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • wow are you tyring to build a thruway on your property? Awesome! are these 2 stroke diesels... you need a can sorry, gallon sorry a drum of WD40! LOL....

    thanks for posting

  • What a POS!!

  • Just think, back when this type equipment was used, things got done faster because there was not some government regulator or some kind of overbearing rules about how a job got done. Now we have equipment that can run circles around the production of this equipment but have to stop production so some brueaucrat can step in and claim how he/she did something to save EARTH and Animals and lastly Humans.

  • @specialks1953 You're just regurgitating what you've learned from the media. Are you a heavy equipment operator? Do you work in the construction industry? Silly Humans, always believing what you're told.

  • @theBLC420 - Yes, you silly human, you have my sympathy!

  • @specialks1953 And you have mine, sir.

  • what hp was the d9

  • @djlimit48 320hp

  • @DieselPowerTV Excuse my ignorance, but how does a massive thing like that have only 320 hp? There are 1.6L hondas with over 400 hp.

    thx

  • @cdog9991 diesels have torque not horsepower the new cat c15 which is the engine that is used in many tractor trailers only produces 600 hp but it has 2050ft/lbs of torque. another thing you have to remember is that this is an old engine and doesn't have the technology which gives a lot of new gas and diesel engines their power, it has a turbo charger but next to that it uses it's shear size to produce those 320hp (which even by today's standards is quite powerful for a bulldozer).

  • looks like the old girl sat a ,day or 2 cant beat the old iron the equipment they make today could never withstand a long park like the the old man said ..there was a young bull and an old bull standing on a hill looking down at a herd of heffers ..the young bull said lets run down and get one of them heffers ..the old bull said naah lets walk down and f##** em all !!!

  • Love that sound

  • I think Obama used to drive one of these.......no wait he's never done anything!

  • think of how many tons of shit this thing has moved in it's lifetime!

  • It's wild to look back on the 1960s

  • You should build a reflecting pond.

  • It was a pleasure to watch this video. Nice.

  • almost sounded like it needed a pony motor just to spool the turbo up to speed! =O LOL

  • massive

  • Theres nothing like the sound of the turbo winding up,

  • Thats a Huge Turbo at 1:03 =O

  • The sound... That wonderful sound...

  • Ferri vecchi!!

  • i like that we had a D7G cat it was cool

  • Great oldie and marvelous sound. Still in a very good shape. They did a very good job everywhere in the world.

  • how old is it

  • Great video...!!!!!!!!!

  • that is a bad ass piece of equipment I LOVE IT

  • I noticed your "LP" carryall has the military reinforcement strips welded to the yoke. What branch of service was it sold to ?

  • Cool looking D-9. Any idea of the year model and horse power ?

  • how many yards is your scraper?

  • @393523 15 yards heaped.

  • it's fun

  • for a minute i thought that left rear tire was gonna pop. what's the idea with the big right, and the smaller left tires in the rear? does the hopper have a angled blade?

  • @odmcarp We couldn't find a matching tire for it. The smaller tire fit the rim, so we used it. Yes there is a slight angle because of the uneven tires.

  • for a minute i thought that left rear tire was gonna pop.

  • Beemsterboer?

  • can i come & play out with you , you have so much fun

  • interesting, great work!

  • damn,i would love to drive one of those and feel the power!!!

  • 2 people didnt like this video, they must work for Al Gore

  • That wouldnt be a bad turbo to put on a gokart. (Hahahaha)

  • What a beauty !

    Beemsterboer sound like Holland ?

  • one of best turbo sounds on a diesel ever

  • Just a bunch of kids playing with old junk equipment

  • @kennethrobinson11231 Where's yours then?

  • wtf is that?

  • @arearar a le touneau scraper and a cat d9e dumb ass

  • lol one wheel is biger than the other

  • i like watching a crawler pull a big offset disk have you ever pulled a disk with this d9?

  • 2 people dont like this.Why..

  • pads look kind of rough..!

  • Run an outfit like that back in the 60's only with a D7. Scrapers always rolled on steep backslopes and fills. Keeping the cable to tight on a short turn brought it right over on you. Must have pulled 10 miles of cable. Ahh the good old days....

  • are you scraping just because you can? or are you trying to make a road on your property or something?

  • @thumasta666 It was a test run. All the cables where strung up for the first time and we had to test it out.

  • good god, pulling power to spare

  • them tracks dont look very good but i guess they will last abit yet

  • lol the different tire sizes is what makes the cut uneven lol but nice job with the old girl

  • awesome ol' rig, love to have the money and time to just put old classics like that back together

  • thats a beast

  • do you have a museum or something.. sweet ancient stuff!

  • bad ass older D9 , some real power right there ! i love old equipment ! i drive my dad older stuff all the time ! turbo sounds bad ass too !

  • Doing a little yard work around the Condo I see. LOL That thing is a BEAST!

  • pedal

  • PB Blaster for that stuck Peadal.

  • Back in 96 we had one of these on a jobsite doing some clearing and grading. The damn thing was so big I couldn't help but stop setting forms and watch.

  • ohho ear sex,she sounds healthy thats for sure

  • what would be fair price $ for a D 9 that is cable

  • @gunplow Depends what year and if it runs or not. Id say average for say a 1970s model will run ya about 20k minimum.

  • they dont make them this tough now adays

  • @NickLarsen20 not even close

  • Love that cat sounds so sweet

  • The engine sounds lovely

    Thanks

  • Good thing theres no farming going on at Daves farm in this field.

  • runs like a champ!!

  • the old cats are better than a woman.

  • Why are these older beasts still not being used, seems all they have to do is push dirt. Why not just run them till they die. How long does it take to recoup your investment on a new one, after factoring in the savings on maintanence and fuel savings?

  • You obviously have not spent any time on this kinda of equipment. Spend a whole day on an old machine and then a newer machine, see how you feel at the end of each day. They also break often too with hours of down time. Also, this type is much much slower to move dirt than a 627. If paid by the yard, profit is being cut fast using this.

  • yes they are slower ,but i have others like 630s 633 dw20s dw15 i use what i can too do the job as cheep as i can ,when you are working for people who dont want too pay as good as you should get then you do what you have tooo do. pluse i like running the older ones, older ones that are payed for is better than new ones that you cannot get payed for ,if i had big state and goverment contracts then i would have new peaces.

  • She looks great for her age.

  • Is this the RIP place for the D9??

  • The D9 looked like it must've been sitting there for a long time without running.

  • i LOVE this machine!!!

  • Caterpillar turns me on.

  • looks like big batmobil ;)

  • old school D9 thats bad ass

  • I need a tetnis shot after seeing this old relic, let her rust in peace;/

  • Damn that thing is awesome looking/sounding!

  • How old is this, homie?

  • that 12 yard will still stop this 9 ,it loads it by its self but some times it get slow and stops with the tracks spinning, i would never thought a 12 yeard would stop a d9 but i gess you never know till you try it out. i pulled it with a d7 17a and a 14a d8 both need help.

  • What awesome old iron dont you have? Any LeTourneau snow trains lying around by chance..haha. Unlikely, but you do have a lot of cool machines!

  • what it really needs is new rails and pads!!

  • Neat. Is there a reason for the uneven sized wheels in the rear, or was that "workin' with what ya' got"?

That D9 is in pretty good shape, and the turbo made quick work of filling that can. Only missing 2 glass panels in the cab too. Surely a rare find. What year?

  • Good tires are hard to find at the right price. "Workin' with what ya' got" is a good way to put it. The shoe fits so it does the job for now. 1956 year model.

  • Awesome.

  • that's a monster!! =O

  • That thing dosnt even know the scraper is there.

  • wow nice
