  • lolbisco

  • Helicopters... look out beloooow!

  • <3 disco biscuits ... definitely loved seeing them multi times including camp bisco!! ... but yeah first time i tripped balls on doses I had a grand time with some front row eye contact with brownie at some pos bar in northern jersey near new brunswick. Gotta love having his pupils and yours being the size of golfballs filling your entire eye. Rofl you know you're high as a kite when? :}

  • @rongola at catskill chill i showed brownie my banana... he said it was a nice banana

  • was a great band

  • 1:56..

  • brownie is epic

  • thats my birthday hah

  • Brownie would beat eminem's ass in a fight

  • I used to listen to jambands. Now, I only listen to the Biscuits.

  • @noisydissonance you said that in 2010? you must have some good ass drugs or something because the biscuits ate shit last year...

  • i always listen to phish then i get sick of it for a while and listen to panic then get sick of it after a while and go to bisco, then the process starts over. hands down the three best jam bands out there right now

  • @BradleyRIP I couldn't agree with you more.

  • the dead started it, phish took their twist with it, so did the biscuits, so did umphreys and lotus, they're all fucking dank, stop arguing about which one is better, everyone has their own opinion on everything

  • Quite the scene MELSTOCK in Mechanicsburg, PA many years back- when they played Helicopeters a copter flew around the stage- quite closely!!!! Quite a trip- not sure if it was part of the show, cops, or just part of the insanity....... actually there GREAT SHOW!!!!

  • honestly if youve never been to a bisco show you cant understand what its like its the same way with phish and panic and the dead, anyone could know what a rap concert is like so yall need to shut up about eminem

  • their quality is inversely proportional to barbers bmi

(still seeing them 3 days in nyc for new years)

  • @yarahahrwe hahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • How many jigawatts to get back to 2000?

  • stunned, I think is the word....they had never seen anything like this before.

    they've never seen it since.

  • the crowd is not zombie-fied, they're just begocked!

  • This is a great jam irregardless of who your favorite band is. It is permissible to like more than one "jam" band.

  • umphreys doesnt flow. i saw a sweet alb into jajunk. a crazy ass guitar buildup into a mellow jajunk ending.... what is that? thats what i mean by no flow. they do a crazy buildup and go into something completely different. they dont have seemless transitions like bisco. just saying.

  • please... stop. just stop singing. please.

  • SAUCERS

  • Comment removed

  • wow the sound actually is good!

  • crowd looks like zombies.....LOL

  • such hot fiyahhhh

  • back in 2000 when they could still play

this song without fucking it up.

check out belly-up tavern, feb 2001 for a

great stand alone 2nd set opening 'copters.

    LOOK OUT BELOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • ya ive seen umphreys, biscuits, and phish multiple times and i must say each show is sick in its own way. don,t compare them. they are def. different. but personally i would go see biscuits again before the others. disco biscuit fans know how to rage.

  • amazing synth

  • no we dont and yes phish will forever dominate the genre but face facts, this genre dominates. live rap vs this. hm nelly against the biznits. no con.

  • Phish...meh.

  • @VashStampeeede

    wtf are you talking about?

  • @VashStampeeede right but Eminem vs them, forget it...no con, Eminem

  • @kyle1088 you would take Eminem over this? Eminem is garbage compared to this.

  • @SpassMacher2000

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • @kyle1088 have you ever been to a Biscuits show? The energy and the mind explosions that occur cannot compare to any hip hop show.

  • @SpassMacher2000 I dont really know how you can say Eminem is garbage compared to this, referring to your last comment, It's a completely different form of music and I respect that in that sense, but the only way your getting mind explosions from this is if your on some real hard drugs. The instrumentals I'll say do take skills to put them all together at once, so me denying that is like you denying how hard it is to rhyme words together and have them make sense and tell a story.

  • @SpassMacher2000 but your probably on drugs right now anyway so why am I even bothering to try to explain any of this to you. just puff puff pass my way when your done

  • @kyle1088 yeah well at least the lyrics in this genre have a deep thoughtful meaning to them. rap is so repetitive... and the lyrics tell a shitty story if you ask me

  • @Misfits792 what is so deep and thoughtful about Helicopter.....look out belowwwww....?

  • @kyle1088 dude didnt say THIS song has deep and meaningful lyrics.....he said this genre.....

  • @VashStampeeede Disco Biscuits and Phish aren't even the same genre in my mind..... And if ur speaking in the sense, Then the dead will forever dominate that genre of Jam bands u speak of

  • @VashStampeeede That's cause Nelly sucks balls.

  • @VashStampeeede phish? you mean the dead will forever dominate the genre. phish is second rate.

  • @youngbuck189 the dead? last time i checked the dead and phish. werent in this genre.....biscuits were the first band playing music like this.....so sorry your both wrong. and sorry man but phish is waaaay better than the dead. the dead jams are waaaaay repetative. listen to eyes of the world or some shit theres very minimal change on the jams. bobbys normally just in the back playing the basic chords over a jam. not much harmonizing between everyone.

  • @FunkyDung1969 learn your histroy

  • @youngbuck189 learn to spell first. and what does that mean? coming from a dude with a shitty rappers username?

  • @VashStampeeede i personally think widespread panic is better than phish

  • Comment removed

  • sick vesion the bass is so tighttttttt

  • just saw them at rothbury, they were amazing live, probably one of my favorite performances of the weekend.

  • Great band!

  • haha live umphrey's doesn't flow live? I would almost wanna ask if you've seen them?

  • I've seen both multiple times and really i think its a matter of preference. If you like dance/trance jams with insane improvs and transitions you'll like bisco a lot more. if you like a more traditional jam sound mixed with heavier sounding stuff and better vocals you'll like umphreys more. I personally like bisco 100 times more and im also a huge tribe fan. bisco does flow better though you have to admit i dont know of a band that flows through a show better than bisco.

  • @snuau thank you...

  • @umphreaksts9 they dont.....they will jam in Am build it up huuuuuge.... then start a song in like C#....theres no mellow, well thought out , smooth transitions. and ive seen umph probably 12 or so times. i have friends that are into umph and sts9 too. they all say the same thing your saying.

  • This truly epitomizes what I love about this band. Fvcking awesome!

  • there lyrics are just the names of the songs......and they barely say that

  • this song takes 4 fuckin ever to load

  • good sound quality

  • Bisco lovers get your hands up!!!

  • this helicpters is perfect

  • Just the whole experience of going to the shows makes the music get addictedd i love dIscO BiSCuits!!!!

  • also, as far as i'm concerned, it's offensive to even mention panic on this video, fuck that, fuck that, FUCK that, and yo moe. FUCK THAT

  • what do you prefer then brutha?

  • Are you kidding.. I'm damn near 50 years old and I get this music. Go back to Brittany please, you will get her!

  • just go to a showw, thats all i can say!

  • your pathetic ,if you never went to a show you would will never know!

  • I just came here to give this music a chance. This music is pretty pathetic.

  • Go to Kanye West and Gasolina

  • stop arguing

just listen to the damn music

  • Sammy was the best guy in the band. He controlled the jams like no other, now its up to brownstein.

  • na no way. magner is way more talented than sammy was. and either way allen blows sammy out of the water. dont get me wrong sammy was good but allen is just rediculous. and whos controlling the jams and buildups and what not depends on the song.

  • Magner- 5:23...sick.

  • This is of course in response to bc74o7 five comments down...

  • Barber is sick at the end of this jam around 1340 or so

  • really sick keyboard loop skills in the fourth minute - why is everyone being such critics on here - dont compare jam bands - enjoy life

  • Comment removed

  • sound quality is great. nice vid

  • barber rips it at the end

  • Panic at the Disco? ther're not a jam band to any extent. lololol what's wrong with this guy?

  • who said anything about Panic at the Disco?

  • juddman's a stupid fuck....thank the lord for the biscuits.. LOVE LIVE GOOD FUCKIN MUSIC AND PSYCADELIC's and panic haha wtf?!

  • bissssssscoo!

  • o my god!!! this is the first song that i heard from them and they rock!!! i fund out about them because one of my bros old shirts says disco biscuits and i put it on cause i had no clean ones........ then i looked them up and they rock!!!!! it sothes people... and its cool technoish yet not techno

  • Thanks for posting this nice recording. sammy did rip.

  • Why do people say negative things ? go somewhere else where you actually like something and talk about it there your bringing us down the music is smooth sounds good and look how many people do like them go find a band you like see ya

  • very nicely put, go bisco go

  • daft punk rules

  • fuck yea

  • I LOVE THE BISCUITS

  • love this song

    disco biscuits are amazing

  • Bonnaroo 08! Can't wait for Bisco!

  • If I were you I would check the set list again, me and a friend looked the other day and didn't see bisco coming, I'm not certain but I didn't see them

  • They just added them about a day ago. They were not listed on the first announcement. The email from Bonnaroo said:

We are proud to announce the following additions to the 2008 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival lineup:

    Cat Power

    Zappa Plays Zappa

    The Disco Biscuits

    MSTRKRFT

    Chromeo

So Party on Bisco dudes! Hope to see ya there.

  • Hell yea man, I was pissed Panic wasn't coming but now there will be a good jam band to go with all the other awesome music, it is gonna be way too much fun

  • i agree they repeat alot of things, but thats what you need when your rollin or trippin. i like bisco, but def nor my favorite, still cant wait to see them at langerado this yea though, eat a biscuit and enjoy the show

  • i'm straight edge and the biscuits are my favorite band to see

  • OMG....Try again.

  • i meant to reply to u and not leave a comment....

you are a jerkoff and you are completely wrong

    go listen to umphreys mcgee

  • umphreys mcgee beats bisco and phish, if anything, but is not the best at all

  • you are a complete idiot hahahaha how can you compare bisco to panic. they sound nothing alike. you obviously don't play an instrument either. phish's musicianship is supreme over any other jam band. umphrey's? i mean come on seriously. everyhting the guitarist do is exactly the same every song. bisco's old school stuff is all based on classical counterpoint which can only be compared to phish as far as a creative sense of jamming. panic is the gayest shit i've ever heard, sippin on a tall boy!

  • dont count umphreys out dude......I agree with most everything you say, but there are intangibles such as basic songwriting and vocals etc...that well bisco just doesnt have

  • I just saw Umphreys in Madison about a week ago. They are such a joy to see live as are Disco. I agree with your take.

  • no disco biscuits are probably my favorite band right now and i agree with you gutwillig is a terrible singer...but so was bob dylan. but it went with the music. and what they lack in vocals they make up for in their improv. and disco biscuits are actually damn good song writers. magellan is a perfect example. it is a very well written song. and umphreys lyrics are terrrrrrible. like reallllly terrible. and live umph doesnt flow very well.

  • Have you seen umphreys? Dont Flow?

Im confused. Was it the same band that I know of as Umphreys? Umphreys Lyrics are terrible? can you be more specific in that area? I know I know, There is no way someone could like Umphreys and Bisco.. Hmm..

  • yes ive seen umphreys plenty of times. what i mean by dont flow is theyll be doing a heavier song like mulches or 1348 and then right into something completely different like nemo or some shit. and not all umph lyrics are bad but a lot of them are. listen to in the kitchen, mulches odyssey, uncommon. cant think of anymore right now with not so great lyrics. but i love both umphreys and biscuits. i like the techno side of bisco and the raging guitars of umph.

  • you have to be one of the dumbest people i have ever seen. bisco tries to sound like panic but aren't as good WTF IS THAT? panic blows whale dick. yes phish are better musicians but they did not invent a new sound they built picked up the torch from the dead. everything umphrey's does sounds the same even with different beats and bisco plays the untz 7 out of 10 times and sounds more different than most umphrey's jams well back in the day at least. u need to learn an instrument then talk.

  • lol whale dick

  • I'm glad you hate all music you listen to, now what's really the point of music anyway... Think about it.

  • Allen is gonna slowly integrate himself into the band but yeah he's definitely not as tight and doesn't improvise as much as Sammy. Give him his chance, last I saw of he got better.

  • your a jerkoff and that is probably the stupidest thing ive ever heard

  • disco biscuits are pretty awesome period

  • I just saw them live in Vail, Colorado on the 19th...fuckin' awesome!

  • no ones given props to this light guy.... phenominal job

    balls heli

  • they get down enough said

  • biscuits r leet....they're comin to my hometown of the Dub Ya B. 10-27-07. Dirty dance party

  • Yeah, lessons my ass. You think the crowd need to attend dancing lessons to get down to this? Stick your rule book, pal.

  • I think that when people criticize the Bisco, they really lack an understanding of where they are coming from & what they are doing. They are not trying to showcase jamband virtuosity...they're more in line with minimalistic electronic music (like Trance & House) when it comes to their jams. They set a "mood" with these repetitive jams that transpires into full blown funk work outs.

It's really about the groove & the feel with Bisco, like it is with a lot of Trance music!

  • best helix ever. easily.

  • nope. 12.31.99.

  • this band makes me happy when im high :)

  • they used to be soooooooo solid...tear.

  • why don't you stop noodleing and you think there a simple aesthetic they f*** awesome and i dont think they need a lesson why dont u take a lesson and start touring and see if you get as many people as they do to show up punk

  • I wasn't trying to criticize them by saying "simpler" aesthetic. I guess it was just a poor choice of words. Bisco is life.

  • whoaaa man, easy. i'm sorry, I was out of line. I really have no problem with you liking bisco, and it really is none of my business (to be fair, i should be able to voice an opinion w/o dealing with this). the thing is i do tour, and what really bothers me about bisco is that they literally only can do one thing- trance.

  • the problem with this is that alot of really really bad bands are trying to get into the jam scene, so guess what they play- trance. so this is bad for the jam scene as a whole. ok that being said, bisco is great at what they do, but because of thier success, bad things are happening to music. so what i meant to say earlier is that if they just tried to raise thier bar alittle higher, maybe these other bands that are terrible will do the same. thats all

  • I'd rather have bad trance jam bands then bad blues/country jam bands. That being said, the Biscuits are very very good.

  • You must be a STS9 fan lol

  • noodling? in this vid/song? hahaha

  • bisco is absoluty TERRIBLE!!! they all need to stop noodleing and take a lesson

  • While I agree that bisco is not the best improvisation out there (avid jazz listener) I think they are after a simpler aesthetic. Plus I'm pretty sure they're just as stoned as their audiences.

  • Just recently came across the Biscuits. I had heard about them from a friend. Definitely worth my time.

  • this is what i miss

  • me too man, me too

  • Hallucinogenious, I love the biscuit video's you've posted. Far and away the best on you tube.

  • this is sick, jus t sick. we love u sammy

  • sammy is cool, but you have to admit, allen is a way better drummer. just listin to how pristine and crisp his hi hat sounds when he really gets into it. if you want a specific show, look up the late night show in the Revolution, 03/09/07. Strobelights>Run Like Hell>Songs of Joy, pure insanity!!!

  • whatever, noob.

  • yeah sorry bro Sammy owns. Listen to Allen try to play "The Very Moon;" His interpretation is mediocre at best.

  • allen is no sammy, but allen is getting better every year.

  • sammy rips allen

  • allen could rip sammy a new ass hole in a drum off and if you don't agree YOU DON'T PLAY DRUMS. the thing about allen is HE DOESN'T HAVE AS GOOD AS A BAND TO WORK WITH. sammy played when jon, marc, and aaron were in their prime which definitely accounts for about 90% of the debate. allen is a machine period

  • you're right. but I think the sentimental value interferes with the true bisco fans willingness to accept this. I love Sammy like a brother and I've never even met him.

  • i agree but i still think barber brownie and aaron are still amazing at their postitions

  • yea well i kno sammy personally and hes still amazing at drums so suck a dick dont talk shit

  • Brownie loved it.

  • I wish every jam the tDB sounded this good.

  • Gothic Theater 10-21-00.This was during the time they did the webcasts. My first show was the one after at the Bottleneck. My buddy taped the Co. shows and when I got the Fox/gothic shows in the mail a week later I don't think I stopped listening to them for a month straight. He got me hooked in 99 when they opened up for MOE. All I remembeer was the phone call that said the opening band threw down and MOE.needs to play hard to beat it. A week later I had that show and got hooked on the 99.

  • Biscuits played Helicopters at small festival Melstock, Mechanicsburg, PA back in early 90's- actual helicopter cirlcled the stage during this song!

  • @hd904

I was at that show. I don't remember the actual helicopter. But I was hanging with Rabbit (RIP) doing so much Yak that you coulda crushed me with a shovel and I would not have felt it. Wow what was I thinking. Juggling was also there. It was later in the 90s though wasn't it? Or was that desty every year?

  • bisco sucks

    humps

  • your gay please die

  • the barber is on fire on this one

  • Awesomest, wheres it at?

  • Sick jam
