  • How could Christ be selfish when He said to his Father "not my will, but your will Father"? Jesus asked "Is there not another way?" To me it seems like Jesus "the human part of him" did not want to go to the cross. Jesus wanted to be LOVE in the fullest which means that you must take self out of the equation. So Christ was selfless. That was His purpose. The question is, where is it, that we are to be selfless. There must be purpose to ones selflessness because there is so much need in the world

  • AGREE AGREE AGREE!!!!

  • Christ (if he existed) was selfish, of course!

Everyone is selfish all the time!

It all depends on how well you can set the goals.

If we all only do "selfless" things, the world is a paradise, because everyone gets out of that, it's a win win! But it gotsta be universal! That was what the original christians were about!

Rome then twisted it upside down.

We can speak of "selfless" as a selfish act towards others, and "selfish" as a selfish act towards oneself.

  • Human nature is to be selfish. To survive and to satisfy one self. To walk the road of love and truth is a selfless decision or else you could not remain on the path of LOVE. Walking the path of love and truth leads us to our created purpose where we can accomplish our task. We are one part of the body. You can't ask the "eye" to do the work of the "hand". It's not it's purpose. Although without the eye the hand can't reach it's full potential. We are all connected and we all need each other.
