  • holy cow Vinnie moore is incredible. best picking technique ive seen. VinMan my favorite player by far

  • Vinnies picking technique in the late 1980's was unbelievable and you can hear every single note just like the other great pickers like Al De Meola and Steve Morse

  • Екстра свирене!!! Страхотен си е Вини!

  • HE WOULD BE FREAKIN AWESOME IN MEGADETH!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT HE COULD DO TO THE SOLO'S IN "HOLY WARS" "HANGAR18" AND "TORNADO OF SOULS!? AND DAVE COULD PUT DOWN SOME HEAVY RYTHMS AND LET VINNIE EXPLORE!!!FUCK YEA!!!!! sorry chris broderick.

  • Listen to Chim Spanner's "At the Dream's Edge." A fabulous, predominantly ignored guitar album.

  • i dont think there is anyone as great a vinnie moore. he excels at every genre he plays at and has a musical ear like know one else. favorite player ever

  • Vinnie is in a league of his own. By far one of the most accomplished and versatile Guitarists on the planet and a great guy to know.

  • VM looks like a lion "ROAR".... he's awsome.

  • dont he look like marty friedman????

  • nice!

  • nice

  • yea every time i watch it make me envy all teh people in there watching te best guitar player ever jajaja he's awesome really great musician

  • vinnie moore owns all.

  • I saw this tour, the fricken dude on bass is a small little guy, if you can believe it he`s wearing boots and the dude still measures like 5`0 lol but that dude can shred on the bass. Coolest dude in the world too. Spoke to Him and vinnie after the gig. I couldn`t get the ringing out my ear for a month:-) Best time ever.

  • sounds so good even on this video, I can't begin to imagine what it was like to be standing right there. The crowd was not yelling loud enough but I dont blame them. It is only long after the fact that we realize it was as good as it was ever going to get. Thank God for videos to take us back to those days. Thanks for uploading. 1991 Trivia (world wide web) was launched to the public. .

  • sick

  • WoW! What the fuck is wrong with this world? Only 96 thousand views on this?? The World is TOTALLY missing out. Vinnie is a damn legend..

  • this guy is so melodic its jus insane i love this shit

  • he is a god and also is more classical than anyone shredder

  • 3 piece madness!

  • The VinMan is highly regarded by other fellow shredder's.

  • does anyone know what happened to that bass player, he was crazy ??? i think i watched him as much as Vin.

  • VINNIE!!!!

  • Go Vinnie Go!!!

  • check this out mothrefuckers!!

  • Oh Vinman amazing playing

  • That drummer is great btw

  • CHECK THIS OUT MOTHAFUCKA!!!!!!

  • oh yeah, check this out!

  • this is a guitar player...

  • Vinnie had a pretty wicked fucking picking technique, Al DiMeola would be proud

  • @vetmusician Why? Was Al a student of Vinnie's?

  • @dirtydonki NOOOOOOOOOO! he wasnt a student, but few can match AL picking technique and i believe vinnie is one................But if there was a student teacher relashionship Vinnie would be the student.....

  • @vetmusician LOL. I knew that already. I was being ironic. Like in making a joke. :)

  • @vetmusician / I wish Vinnie still picked like this!

  • I saw it live in 1991! have autographed ticket stub!..kewl to have stumbled onto it!...Vinnie is a timeless guitar player..what i liked about his style he maintained enough of the blues..most shredders forget theres a melody and how to bend one every now and then! not to mention..his TONE is before its time here.. reminds me of SATRIANI~

  • Ah, Youtube comments, the places where the clown brigade patrols...

  • @waylay00 it's the only place int he world they can shine

  • your on drugs

  • I loved his 'Minds Eye' album in the 80s !

  • Moore forever \m/ \m/

  • simplicity of the three piece is awsome!

  • Next time chop everyone's heads off so we can see the guitar better.

  • this video is my age

  • 1 : 49 vinnie want more power in his guitar

  • All of the arpeggios and sweeps aside, this guy really knows how to really dig in and eviserate the straight ahead blues/rock style. Bloody great.

Fantastic tone, control, ideas and vibrato.

    Exiting as shit!

  • You guys wont belief what a great guy Vinnie is! I had the pleasure of sitting at one table with Vinster at a cafe in Frankfurt with him for 3 hours just chatting away while he had coffee and sandwich! Not a profanity or even a hint of vulgarity from a hard core rocker we've inevitably would expect came out from his mouth throughout the 3 hrs we sat there.

  • His parents are just as cool as Vinnie is. His parents were my ex-girlfriend's neighbors. His parents gave me a few autographed cds and posters by Vinnie. Really nice people.

My ex told me that when she was young Vinnie used to chase her around on her front lawn telling her she didn't have any ears LOL!

  • His dad was my mailman. Not sure who your ex-grilfriend is but I am from old New Castle too. 2nd St. My mother used to baby sit Vin and Sherri. Burke and Dawn were cool.

  • I'm not sure if Burke and Dawn still live at the same place, but they lived in Washington Street, I believe it was.

  • Washington Park...I can't remember which street. My best friend lived on 13th so it wasn't that, probably 10th or 11th. Played little League with him too.

  • She was right across the street from either 11th street, I believe. There were some apartments down and across the street from her house.

  • he opened for Schenker - was there for this....

  • In 1991 he used to be one of the opening acts for Rush.

Amazing guitarist, one of my favorites.

  • vinnie is great man and he is too god for some"G456" ..he is guitarist with soul and he plays everything.

  • guys all of you really know about how to recognise a amazing guitar player!! an d thats great!!! vinnie is the man!! cheers!!!!

  • I met John Deservio on this tour. The dude is tiny, lol but he rocks that bass like a giant. Vinnie moore will always be in my top 10 best guitar players. He Tears it up. I wish Satriani would add him to the G3 Tours

  • Vinnie is myfavorite out of all the neo classical guys that came out in the mid 80's.

I favor his approach of using his technique to play off of the melody. I know Ynqwie broke out with this style first but I'd argue that Vinnie's style was the most tasteful.

It's true Vinnie's tone was more restrained on his earlier work, I think that added to the overall clarity of his sound back then.

Great Video, thanks for adding it!

  • yeah I agree with you about his tone. I found it hard to like his songs as much because his sound wasn't as heavy hitting as Tony Macalpine or Vai. But he is fantastic nonetheless.

  • macalpine and moore do have alot in common but you cant say whos better for me anyway i love them both but vinnie is way better live if you like note for note

  • Restrained? Haha, his tone was bloody terrible back in the early days - made his music only fit for the elevator. Which is a shame because he's probably got the best technique in the business, and listening now to his work of late, his tone is so much more beefy - it's great.

  • He doesn't have the best technique in the business. He's great and all but he's certainly no Guthrie Govan ;) Vinman's tone on his latest album sounds really really good btw!! Awesome player!

  • did u just say vinnie moore doesnt have the best technique?!?! HAAHAHHAAHA FAGGET guthrie is a gay

  • vinnie moores technique is pretty damn amazing thought, guthrie's technique is also equally as good... why compare???

  • Vinnie is such a clean player and his sound is unique amazing player with such melodic licks truly amazing!

  • The bassist John Deservio "JD" now with Zak in BLS. Brian and JD went to Berkley together.

  • I need this entire concert video for divx. If anyone can tell hook it up, would rock.

  • Yeah one thing that changed from his debut album, is his tone grew a pair of balls. I wish he would redo the first album because this makes me wonder...

  • so many thanx for uploading this !!!

awesome recording of an awesome guitarist

  • check this sound motherfuckers...yeahhh.....Grande Vinnie y muchas gracias por estos videos...saludos desde chile ....

  • great sound,i like the clean playing of vinnie which is his characteristic as a guitarist

  • I wish I could by this exact music on cd...to me he sounds better live.

  • there might exist a live album?

  • Yes, you can get Vinnie Moore "Live!" from most places. It has many of these songs.

  • But that cd doesn't have the same songs as this performance...it's full of music from later in his career. I'll probably still go pick it up but damn I wish I could get this on cd!

  • yeah that's true, I have a copy of the original audio file from this though

  • Did you get that off Limewire or Napster ?

  • I'll send you the link in your messages

  • I agree! This sounds so much more "raw" and thicker than on the CDs.

  • A friend of mine bought this bootleg video back in 92 and Vinnie just kills on the whole tape. Concider for a moment it's being shot on a old vhs analop with a shitty little mic and you can still hear every note he plays! Also the melodies still sound cool even without all those layers of harmonies.

  • Hi EPO65. This guy is awesome. Check out his video. Meltdown. He plays with more feel than Yngwie. I am not nocking yngwie I love yngwie but Vinnies melodies and technique are flawless.

  • Just had a listen to "Meltdown". Vinne Moore is a good guitarplayer, no doubt, but I still think he sounds like Donald Duck compared to Malmsteen.

  • You don't know what your talking about.

  • Thank you for clearing that up for me. I now see the light...

  • Each to his own. I like them both. They are very different really.

Yea I know, michaels2boys... it is amazing how good quality this video actually is. Only one of million digital camera bootlegs reach this quality... well, to be honest, none of them reach this audio and visual quality. The picture might not be so excellent on this one but I've heard worse official live recordings than this sound wise!

  • A true Virtuoso, Speed, Emotion, Technique, it brings tears to my eyes.

  • Thanks for sharing this great video. Killer-Guitar!

  • What if Konami made a new Castlevania, and paid Vinnie Moore to do the entire soundtrack? Man...

  • In Control from Mind's Eye! I think that's Brian Tichy on drums. Mind's Eye is a must have for any guitar fan.

  • it was tommy aldrige on the album but Tichy is amazing too.

  • Yeah same here, I was just getting into Yngwie and learned to play then I bought Time Odyssey and thought it might be better to study a master rather than someone who was just good. Matter of taste too I just like the variety of technique Vinnie uses. Seems to flow more whereas Yngwie kind of overplays things instead of working them out all the way through so they go with the songs.

  • I'm seeing Vinnie Moore tonight in Fort Worth, TX with UFO. I can't wait!!!!!

  • Check this out, motherfuckers!(at 5:15) LOL Vinnie is one of the best, no doubt about it. Keep rockin' Vinnie!

  • didn't he play morning star never?!?!?

    sorry my english..

  • Vinnie Moore is fucking great!!!

  • he was already brilliant live!

Is that Jimmy O'Shea on bass?

  • killer tune...love Mind's Eye...just not the same without Aldridge on the skins though...Vinnie still kicks..

  • Dude, I like Vinnie Moore too, but you are crazy

  • i gotta know the name of that first song. i know the second one is check this out but i gotta know the first. someone tell me please.

  • In Control off of the Mind's Eye album

  • The first song (with the keyboards) is "Prelude/Into The Future" from "Time Odyssey".

  • no spartacus, the keyboard part is Prelude, but he goes right into In Control...

  • No, that's not what he asked. Read it again: "i gotta know the name of that first song."

  • no, i understand, but he says he knows the second one is 'check this out', so he doesn't even know that In Control is followed by the keyboard part of Prelude...

  • i mean In Control is preceeded by the keyboard part of "prelude/into the future"...

  • because right after the keyboard part, vinnie plays In Control rather than the entire song from 'prelude/into the future' and then he plays 'check this out' which the kid says he knows the name of this, the second song...

why vinnie doesn't play the entire into the future is beyond me, cause it's a great tune, melody, and guitar solo...

  • i really enjoy that kind of melodies

vinnie is one of my favs.. a guitar hero ,no doubt

  • I much prefer this than his over-produced saccharine studio productions... this is actually good; bloody excellent drummer.

  • The best of the best, Vinnie Moore 80´s guitar Hero

  • I wish he would play it all on the bridge pickup like the album. I love this upload :)

  • Vinnies ability to bring reworked classical pieces plus his original material together is a pyrotechnic sonic wonderland, for the masses. He broke some barriers and boundries still being explored today.

  • Great Great stuff.Vinnie Moore playes his stuff live like he recordes them in the studio.Awesome Neoclassical Guitar Player!!!

  • Thank you for uploading this. Love it

  • Vinnie is the s@*t! This was cutting edge music back in the day... However, it still stands up tody. Guys like Prashant Aswani and Gus G. are still keeping this progressive guitar rock music alive and well. Check out those guys too when you have time.

  • I was at this concert in the front. If you see a guy with Brian May hair, that should be me. I played the NY metal circuit back then with Next of Kin and Hangtown. Thise were the days. Vinnie kicked ass!

  • wow he's flawless, plays with so much energy and feeling too. awesome blue player, - puts a lot of blues "legends" to shame

  • he's not blues...

  • you're right, he's not a real blues player... but songs like Earthshaker and Check it Out are some kind of blues, I would think. Hard to say what's blues and what's not. At least those songs are bluesy rock music.

  • I like his older work with MacAlpine; it's not so pentatonic oriented, and sounds like more fun and less industrial.

  • I like his Mind's Eye album and the first song here is great. But I think I prefer his work from Meltdown, ecspesialy the title song. And Check It Out is a kick ass instrumental too.

  • What guitar is he playing here?

  • He play on the Fender Heartfield Talon, I have one, nice guitar.

  • Ya, I was looking for one on eBay. Cool guitar.

  • thanks for to share this video

  • He really enjoys himself live. Very good performance. Keep rockin', Vinnie!

  • Vinnie Moore é o mestre. Meu guitar hero.

  • fuck this song is cool.

  • awesome. thanks for postin.

what is that 2nd song he plays?

  • Can't figure out why he'd wear a shirt that says BITE ME when the only people who would see it were his fans :-( Maybe he was opening up for Slaughter or something ?

  • Absolutely great!

    Very neat playing.

    One of my favorites!

  • i enjoy the guitar virtuosity of vinnie him, becker, and lane r prolly the sharpest cleanest pickers of the neo classical shred genre...

  • I saw Vinnie in '91 at the Whisky A Go Go. Who was the drummer and the bass player? They rocked!

  • by the way, i think 'Time Odyssey' was his finest work, and the out of print 'meltdown' rocked too.

  • i met vinnie at the boardwalk in orangevale, ca and he signed all the work he's ever done for me, including the alice cooper 'hey stupid' and infamous vicious rumors 'soldiers of the night' i had on cd. he's a cool cat, little guy, like frank gambale!

  • Sweet! first time i heard this guy. Perfect playing man, 5 stars for this performance.

  • Tracks :

    1st - In control

    2nd - Check it out

  • He's one of the finest guitarist alive. Keep it up Vin!

  • can you display de track list???

  • By the way , if anybody's got a Vinnie Moore video let me know please. They're pretty hard to get ( if there are any aside from the instructional ones wich I'm starting to doubt )

  • The first song's name is "In Control". Although it's strange because the keyboard intro belongs to "Prelude - Into The Future"

  • Wow - great upload!

I do miss the 2nd harmony guitar part though...still it's great to see this live stuff.

  • Thanks for posting!!!

What is the name of the first song. Very interesting

  • love Vinnie's playing. So clean, melodic andprecise.

  • Awesome!

Love to see the Vinman play live , thanks for posting this clip!

  • Brilliant.

  • first coment vinnie moore is the best!! he's so clean and fuckn original nice video thxs for the upload
