I agree people need to have drive, but I would also say the playing field needs to be fair. I know life isn't fair in general, but does a hedge fund manager do millions of dollars worth of work in a year? Did Warren Buffett become wealthy just from his personal hard work? People need to be creative, hard working, and self reliant to be successful, but at what point is the deck stacked too far against the average person?
That's a really great question. But instead of trying to determine the exact point it becomes "too" "stacked", it might be better to work toward removing the biggest cause of the obstacles. If you'd like to know what that is, ask yourself who has the guns.
@S24995 At the point when we allow our government to make it too difficult for a free citizen with a great idea and work ethic to create a brand new business. How can government make it too difficult (or "stack the deck against the little person")?.....Exorbitant redundant TAXES, a nightmare of gratuitous punitive REGULATION, & favoritism (CRONY CAP) which hurts healthy competition. For example, the regulatory costs for business in U.S. was over 1.75 TRILLION last year and growing.
While I think there's a lot more to economics than just what they're talking about, I would agree that most people who wind up destitute in the US do so because they fucked up in their life, are lazy, and just can't get their act together.
Hey it's official, Israel "hustles and bustles" more then other nations...Can we stop being robbed of Multi Billions every year to give to that hard working nation? LMAO or can they not wipe their ass without foreign aid funds?

Glad you enjoyed it.
You might also check out my playlists for "Milton Friedman on Donahue". Those are two of the best discussions on such subjects.
