A great band, RIP Mr. Saxon. The SHIT musicians had to expose themselves to! Pathetic. Poor guys. But this lame shit couldn't reduce the impact of that great, seminal sound. Fuck Hollywood.
i replay this dozens of times, mostly for the moment he whacks down his tambourine. Love the cape. This was my favorite song when it came out. I was. eleven years old.
i used to watch this show when it must have been in reruns in the late sixties/early seventies. dunno why i liked it but i was only around 5 or 6. its weird seeing the seeds mime their stuff on this when i had only been aware of them since the early eighties. actually got to see a reformed version of them with sky saxon around 1999 or so. they put on a good show.
@kyroughman1: Yes, this definitely was a tv program which appeared in the late 60's. It featured Kaye Ballard and Eve Arden in the title roles and was produced by Desilu Productions, the same company which produced I Love Lucy. In fact, Desi Arnaz was the executive producer for this show and even made a couple of appearances. I' sure I saw clips from those episodes here on youtube a while back.

There was a time when I was a kid where every band on the Sunset Strip did covers of every Seeds song...The Seeds time has come and gone...a great garage band while it lasted.
Sky Saxon, lead singer of this group, died a year ago today, June 25, 2009. He is the only singer of note with a last name that rhymes with "Ackson"/"Axon" who died on that day.
@rslitman and George Melly died 47 years after Budding Holy crashed in his plane...he owned his glasses as well. found them on the crash site, sold them at Sotheby's. Both R.I.P. and young Michael called by presciprition droogs - he was the black messiah
The Seeds got the same hairdresser as Kaye Ballard.

What's funny, is that Sky Saxon just might be the same age if not older than those seated on the couch.

@67psych It is well known that he models his hair after Moe from the Three Stooges just like the Beatles did.

I take it that this was a TV program we never got over here in the UK. The hair and clothes stamp it as Monkees/Turtles/Byrds era ...
