  • The Legion of Doom (The Road Warriors) and The Hart Foundation, the two best Tag Team champion of all time! R.I.P. Hawk! Never been forgotten.

  • Why did shit like this just be coliseum home video?! That's bullshit.

  • two of my all time favorite tag teams, a great match as well, @SteveGeoMasters they were known as the Road Warriors in WCW and a few other companies i believe but in WWE/WWF they were known as Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal Legion of Doom, oooohhhh What a Rush

  • hey guys i started watching wrestling at 1996 i really wanted to have a look in these matches and im really confused.arent these guys called the road warriors/i saw a dvd of them called like that?or its just a nickanme pllzzz tell me@

  • No one is Bigger than The Dudley Boys

  • @MadSteneren I'd argue that point with the Road Warriors/Legion of Doom. They helped pioneer the Rock n' Wrestling era, from their look to their physiques to using "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath as their early entrance music. They won the AWA tag titles in the AWA, the NWA tag titles in the NWA and the WWF tag titles in the WWF and were the ONLY tag team to do so. They were emulated by many others (Powers of Pain, Demolition) but never duplicated because they were so unique

  • @MadSteneren fuck the dudleys

  • MAN I MISS THE OLD DAYS TWO GREATEST TAG TEMS OF ALL TIME

  • Best tag teams history

  • Tag teams died along time ago. Back then there were great teams that built a strong undercard. You were usually just as excited if not more so for the tag team match ups. I remember going to house show just to see steiners vs Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow (one of the heels got subbed by, I think, Adam Bomb)

Now a days its just two wrestlers taking turns doing their singles spots, thats it.

  • The WWE has become a shadow of what it used to be: a balance of wrestling and entertainment. Normal matches aren't even this long anymore, and instead of guys who can wrestle, Super Cena and Kelly Kelly are being forced down our throats week after week

  • pretty rare for this era, a face vs face tag team match and these were two of the best

  • watching this it's quite easy to believe those stories of Hawk being out of it

  • at wm7 there was threat for terrorism at the coliseum, thats why they moved it to the arena

  • hardcore nerd 1:09

  • I'm pretty sure this is the match the Hitman talks about in his book. Hawk seems not quite right during this match.

  • i was just watching a shoot interview with bret and jim and they talked about having a match with animal and hawk where hawk was messed up on pills. is this that match? they could only recall one match they had with LOD.

  • @jeffbrister2004 i remember reading that in brets' book. can't remember when or where it was though.

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes

Oh yeah, and lets not skip the fact that you're a 24 year old chick

with Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter shit all over your page, so we know

you still livin' with moms at home. Get a job, and try to ACT like a man. FOOL SOMEBODY

you virgin! Oh, I mean virgin from the front, we all know your cheeks have imploded from

    riding the dick!

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes

You need a smack in the mouth for all that shit your talking

fuck golf shoes. -and only a true fag would suggest a man suck

another dude's dick. You have secrets there junior, get your ass back

in the closet with your uncle Tammy.

  • I don't know about all this carrying HAWK for all that say that, have you watched the match?

  • Classic Match!!!!

  • I heard that Hawk was doped up on painkillers and cocaine

  • @tjohnsonjr871 Yeah ive just read in brets book that hawk was on painkillers and some other substances and the foundation and animal had to carry him thru the match.

  • yh,gta agree, this wen wwe sorry wwf,had an awesum tag team division,n being champs meant summit!

  • @NintendoFan07 Couldn't even tell you what is going on in the WWE Universe nowadays.

  • Also when was the las match you saw in the WWE that DID NOT have outside interference of any sort? A clean victory is almost never seen.

  • todays wrestling is shit! why does every so called 'superstar' need a 20 strong posse and 50 fireworks to accompany them to the ring? not just that, but the ring is filled with an office, step ladders, a fire axe, a machine gun and a machette! l.o.d rule 4eva!!!

  • @thehoff1982 This is 2010. Its supposed to be shit

  • uhhhhhhhhoooooh what a rush ...

  • The glory days when wrestling was the best!

  • how bout that hair on the announcer

  • I bet you the guy at 1:09 is a serial killer these days.

  • @beilock lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the problems with wrestling nowadays is that the "tag team division" isn't considered it's own entity. They have a bunch of singles tagging up together to make interesting matchups only to have them separate again shortly thereafter. There is a pure wrestling art to the tag team, and they need to rediscover it.

  • Bret "Hitman" Hart ,make me love wrestling.

  • Were the Hart Foundation heel at this point?

  • @rmathew2 no a rare face vs face match

  • @rmathew2 I was wondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure they were face judging by the reaction and the fact that Bret gave his glasses to a kid at ringside. Looks like Bret forgot they were face though once the match got going.

  • @malaris60 Yeah, I can only imagine what it was like to work the schedule they did back in those days, I bet its hard to keep everything straight, whether they are heel or face, what town they are in ...

  • The skill of Bret "The Hitman" Hart, the power of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, man that really is the Hart Foundation in a nutshell.

  • Back when Tag Team Wrestling was good

  • @tsoe2001 you are absolutely right

  • esta lucha es muy buena, lastima que hoy la wwe apesta y ya no tiene este tipo de parejas.

  • love the double closeline!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yep old wwe is best

  • RIP hawk !!!

  • Oh man do I miss these days. So much better then the trash they produce now.

  • "Two A's in the ring; Anvil, and Animal."

Really, Lord Alfred? Two of the top tag teams at the time meeting in the ring and that's the best you can come up with?

  • who's that female ring announcer

  • this really should've been at wm7, have legion of doom go over and then let them defend at summerslam 1991. nasty boys had no business winning the belt at wm7 when the l.o.d were so ridiculously over

  • so who was face/heel?

  • harts heel legion face

  • wrong.

  • @eisenkreuzmusik I would say probably face vs face match

  • ananızı sikem orospu çocuğu abd :)))

  • holy shit it the legion of doo

  • I know Animal's son. He played football for Ohio State.

  • yes that was well documented in the media and i bet thats the only way you know him

  • Comment removed

  • two great tag team ever !

  • WOW! These are what two tag teams were back then. It's hard to name a decent tag team the WWE has produce the last the 5 years.

  • It's funny how the Harts were the de facto heels in this match even though they were a babyface team.

  • Alferd Hayes was so giddy when asked if he had a pair of the Hitman's shads

  • Can someone pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese explain to me WHY this match WASN'T on a pay-per-view like the 1991 Royal Rumble or at possibly WrestleMania VII rather than some lame ass staight-to-video bullshit?

  • They were afraid to do face vs. face scenarios on PPV's back then. That's why Warrior/Hogan was so big.

  • I would have thought that doing the face vs face match would always sell big just like the Warrior/Hogan at WM6. I figured that ol' Vinnie would wanted to do BIG BIG numbers for the WM7 at the 100,000 plus LA Coliseum.Perhaps if he would have done the Harts/LOD match for WM7 and spend at least 3 months to build it up to that point he could of been able to sell out the LA Coliseum instead being force to do the WM7 show at the small rinky-dink LA Sports Areana...

  • Um, WM7 was going to be at the Colisseum, the only reason it was moved to the Sports Arena, was because of bomb threats made, due to the Sgt. Slaughter/Iraq angle...which sold out the Sports Arena w/o the help of a Hart Foundation/LOD match----which, I will say, w/the titles on the line, would've been incredible.

  • Yes, you're correct. Also, the Ultimate Warrior-as-Champion experiment also contributed to lower ratings and ticket sales.

  • Thank God Tony Chimel Replaced her in 1992. She sound so Terrable, The reason why her voice change, Cause Brian Blair Popped 3 kids out of her.

  • Two Greatest Tag Teams Of ALL TIME in my opinion..

  • @grzestelicki Can't really fault your logic here. The L.O.D./ Road Warriors are the best by the fact they won EVERYTHING. The Hart Foundation were always one of my faves too, but I think the British Bulldogs are probably the best team of all time. They could wrestle, do the high flying thing, Davey had the strength Dyno had the speed. One of the ultimate What If's. If DBS & DK had of stayed in the WWF & if DK never got hurt the way he did. I think they would have had a LONG run with the belts.

  • @grzestelicki I really do miss hawk, why must the good and awesome die before their prime is up???

  • @grzestelicki

hell yeah i share your opinion

  • @grzestelicki don't forget the Steiner Bros too.

  • @bigj0410 Sure I don't forget forever, LOD One of the Greatest!!!!!!

  • hawk doesnt loook that messed up off pills. they probably did have to carry him though

  • This is what the WWE is missing. Legendary tag matches!

  • i agree with you

  • @ironman711 exactly. Back then there was a whole stable of tag teams. Hart foundation, LOD, Steiners, British Bulldogs, Rockers, Power and Glory, Orient Express, Strike Force just to name a few..Today tag teams are composed of two single wrestlers just taking turns hogging the spotlight doing their own spots.

One thing I really miss about the old days of the WWF were the tag teams.

  • @VisionofOrion Don't forget the Midnight Express, Rock n Roll Express, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard, the Freebirds & Harlem Heat - When WWF wasn't the only wrestling game in town.

  • @ironman711 Dude....

You are actually half right, this is part of what they're missing.

The other part, which is more significant, involves that douchebag pseudo marine...

  • Wow Lilian looks rough there! lol! :)

  • That is Lord Alfred Hayes, not Lilian Garcia announcing this match

  • Dude it's called a joke and i'm sure thats not Lord Alfred Hayes in the ring at the beginning lol.

  • Oh, no, that's Mike McGuirk in the ring. Her full name was Michelle.

  • (¬u¬)Oh you...

  • That's Mike Mc Guirk as the ring announcer, not Lillian Garcia

  • Not much crowd reaction in this match. Wonder if they were just enthralled at having two fan-favourite tag teams face each other rather than against two heel teams.

  • funny story about this match: In Bret's book he talked about how an hr before this match Hawk popped 3 or 4 placidyls's and was totally fucked up. Hart, Neidhart, and Animal had to cover to make sure Vince didn't catch on

  • Interesting...

  • yeah, he talked about this in the hart foundation shoot interview too

  • that was a great book !

  • Who was this Ugly Braud as the Ring Anouncer?

  • Michelle "Mike" McGuirk

  • Thank you. The last thing I heard was she was working for WCW.

  • that wuz my son who received the glasses from bred heart n he still have them he wuz 7 n now his 26

  • thats cool.... i wonder what ur son thinks of wrestling 2day

  • Only a dumbass would say that the U.S. isn't good at "real sports". We're better then every country, sporting wise, meaning attendance, popularity, etc., at baseball, hockey, football, basketball, wrestling, boxing, golf, etc.

  • soccer?

  • Best country at hockey? Maybe once you beat the country to the north that's one tenth your population.

  • This is when a Tag Team had meaning

  • It's just too bad this match didn't happen at the 1991 Royal Rumble...

  • I was that lucky kid

  • Cool!

  • two great teams, in classic WWF where the tag titles mattered in these days. It's sad that LoD was buried by Kane & RVD on their return match in 2003 thanks to the idiot writers of WWE in 03

  • and sad that hawk died months after but I so like the moment when the hart foundation gave a glasses to a young fan i love those moments it shows some respect instead of saying fuck you to your fans

  • Hawk didn't died almost 10 years after this match.

  • first of all what do u mean with americans a hope you mean the people who lives in america the continent...second this is enterteinment sport everybody knows its fixed cause its a show a way of entertaintmant

  • You are incredibly ignorant, and you really suffer with your ability to put together a coherent sentence.

The US isn't good at real sports? LOL! I won't even touch that since you probably only consider soccer and croquet as real sports.

And seeing that you are from the UK, check the attendance figures from SummerSlam '92 at Wembley Stadium. Or try any event at Royal Albert Hall. Your people certainly like(d) this form of entertainment quite a bit as well.

  • Exactly. Funny how all of their top British stars Regal, the British Bulldogs, Triple H, Dave Taylor, etc, came over here to hit it big.

  • triple h?

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD I REMEMBER THIS MATCH I WAS LIKE 8 years old excuse my french was very excited. This brings back so many memories

  • Anybody read what Bret wrote about this match in his book? He said that Hawk was all messed up and could barely do moves.

  • Anyone else think those plastic shoulder protectors you could buy that "replicate" the ones LOD wears are absolutely atrocious-looking? I know, they're for kids, but that one guy looked a bit too old to be throwing it on.

  • When you're a big fan of something, you gotta let it show. He's just letting his inner lod out.

  • Whaaaaat a rruuuuuussssssh loves that

  • This should have been on Bret's dvd. Along with the Bret/Owen vs Steiner Brothers match!

    Hart Foundation !

  • I think there's more people like you out there who really think that people think this is real than people who actually do think it's real.

  • i had 2 read that twice to understand it x]

but i just want to point it out to people who are like

    "omg the L.O.D are crap"

i just wanna shut dem up

  • you are a fucking idiot. wwf and wwe are the same fucking thing, just different time periods and its the same damn game dumbass. where do you come up with your asinine thoughts from.

  • I always knew growing up that Pro Wrestling was fake but it wasn't until the Undertaker/Attitude Era that the fakeness was just thrown rite in ur face. Atleast back in the early 90s the outcomes of matches (especially on PPV) were harder to predict and if you couldn't watch the big events then u couldn't wait to get to school the next day to ask around and find out. Ahhh, good times good times.

  • You are incredibly stupid.

  • HART FOUNDATION!!!!

  • Anvil played for the RAIDERS for a little bit. Guess he brought the ass slappin' with him.

  • 2:23. Anvil slappin bretts butt. kinda gay. great match though.

  • thats cool jim and animal are almost the same size

  • When exactly did this match take place

  • gosh i miss wwf

  • If u hear sean moony he says what a combo of the skills of the hitman with the power of the anvil, man soo true, perfect tag team

  • According Bret' book Hawk was pretty inebriated when this match took place. He does look so sluggish and slow. He is like five steps behind everyone else. The quote"About an hour before our match, Hawk tilted his head back and plopped three or four Placidyls in his mouth as if he was trying to impress me and Jim."

"By the time we made our way to the ring, Hawk was half asleep on rubber legs. Animal, Jim and I did all we could not to expose to Vince or the agents that Hawk was nearly comatose."

  • i have done those pills for my bad back. 3 or 4 would put a 400 pound man on his ass. to wrestle like that is the shit legends are made of

  • Legion of Doom a.k.a. The Road Warriors are the GREATEST tag team in wrestling history period end of story! Demolition, not The Hart Foundation, is the greatest WWF tag team ever in MY opinion.

  • The Road Warriors are the greatest when it comes to Tag Team wrestling. They got to work for and win titles from AWA, NWA/WCW, and WWF. The big three.

In the WWF/E, however, the Harts were arguable the best team they ever had. They were one of the few teams who knew how to combine technical sound wrestling and power.

As for your second comment, it's not wrong to dislike Bret Hart, but I'm sorry to say... I'm not sure that you quite know enough about the screw-job for you to have a say on it.

  • Well said, Max.

Wish Vince and company gave Power and Glory a bigger push than the half-ass job that ensued.

  • lod where fearsome with those spikes

  • Can't wait to see Laurinitis wear Dad's spiked shoulder pads to the NFL Draft next spring...

    OOOOOOHHHHHH WHAT A RUSH!!!!!

  • the hart foundation.....best tag team ever

  • lol, lucky lil kid

  • The Legion of Doom....I never really understood why they wore those things. But know it makes more sense.

  • It makes more sense now? How do you figure??

  • It actually does make sense. The Road Warriors wanted to portray a bizare yet aggressive image, especially as tag team champs.

The spikes intimidated people and made them look totally bad ass.
