In 04 they switched to a diamond drive and it slowed them up a lil bit. My 03 walks away from every 800 and even beat my cousins zr900. They r the shit.
@GunsClap315 I know they won't come anywhere close to that. I was being sarcastic with my comment to SuperNick420. My Mach Z won't even run 128mph and an XC 700 isn't even a blip on my radar.
Well i guess i would have to ask you what size mach i have a ski doo 670 that will run 100+ easy,,And my 98 xc 700 will without a doubt go 105 and im saying that because i own one..Im not sled bias either ill ride and own them all,,I do want a 03 f7 tho,,
@GunsClap315 It's a 2000 Millennium Edition Mach Z 800 with the usual bolt-ons and some back yard port work. It ran GPS confirmed 118mph last April at +12C, on slush, with a 6' 3" 260lb rider and no tuning...so I should be good for 120-125mph on ice with some good air and some clutch work? For reference sake, that same day, my buddies '06 F7 with the usual bolt-ons (pipe, Y-pipe, clutch work, air intake, VForce reeds) ran 107mph under the same conditions. He has run as fast as 111mph though.
I put a paddle track on my 670 and it has twin stinger pipes,,The 03 f7 is the fastest f7 made ive seen em race f8's and they run side by side!!Theres some nuts behind them 03 f7's
@GunsClap315 I agree, the '03 F7's rocked. Not nearly as fast as some of them here are remembering them....but faster than many sleds 100cc and even 200cc's larger.
@PugilistRick That's not surprising. The F7's were fast...all year F7's were fast. The only 700's that ever gave them a run for their money were the later Mach 1's and SRX 700's....and they were both triple piped triples and even then they really had their work cut out for them on any race under 1,000ft.
I bought a efi 03 f7 and its by far faster then the newer firecats. I've beaten ko f8s, o8 nytro 1100s, and kills ski-doo mxz 800s. 03 was the fastest firecat made due to the chain drive. Ask any shop I swear by my f7. And before you all think im hating on ski doos im not I have a 01 mxz 600x that's a good sled but not like my f7
is that stock cause i bulshit you not i have an 04 f7 with clutch kit y pipe and can and i did 130.7 on radar then went again and i coulnt do it anymore dont no why lol
how about u guys race ur faggot ass sleds and stop talkin shit talk is cheap every sled is different if u clutch them right and gear them ull smoke fools no matter what kinda sled u have
I have a 04 mxz 800x, that I got after I sold my F7. The ski doo is way more aggressive to ride. You can ride the shit out of it (if it doesn't break down), but my 05 F7 was faster. And looked nicer!
to bad ive anally shit on every mxz 800 that came in my path with my f7. i respect all sleds but i don't appreciate when people start baggin with nothing to back themselves up.
dude, if you read my first comment you'll see i didn't say ski-doos are faster. i personaly don't care if i'm in front or not. there aren't many lakes long enough to lose a guy with 3 and a half mile an hour. and secondly, firecats are piston poppers. why bother having a sled that only goes in a straight line. you aren't a real sledder if thats all you care about. get a sled that you can throw a beating to, and ride it home. then you can ride with me cause i'm not towin your ass back home.
dude i own a 05 f7 ive tortured the shit out of it and yet here i am today still using it but all my buddies skidoos are crap i had to tow them home more than once
wow really? Hmm thats odd cause it seems every time i rode with a skidoo it broke down. lets see... 03 rev 600- fouled plugs, backfires, caught on fire. 04 rev 600... lost a cylinder riding at 60. 08 summit... chews belts, fouls plugs, top speed 80mph... f7s smoke anything straightloine or through the twisties.
im sorry to hear your buddie's caught on fire, but fouled plugs and backfires mean its too rich, somethin you would know if you had common knowledge on engines. and secondly any sled can blow up, but more firecats in my experience. and a summit????top speed 80, duh, prob a 154" track?, chews belts cause he or she is likely screwing with the clutching wrong or got a shitty batch of belts. F7 SMOKES 2 600s AND A SUMMIT FOLKS!!! holy hell man
Hmm too rich straight from the factory? Damn thats what I want to do have my sled run like crap right from skidoo. Oh yeah, did i mention i had an f5 before that, and still whooped the 600? Hmm oh yeah im a mechanic too pal. Summits been the same, clutching and all straight from factory as well. I just loveeeeeeee suckdoos. If you ask me it seems like all skidoos ever have are excuses and excuses. Oh ya you say more firecats. Any evidence there pal? Reading forums geez
exactly. this is so pointless. if you want a real test, ill see you on the trail. this comment thing was meant for video comments anyway, not comments about the contents of the contents of the video.
i own a 2000 mxz 600 adr. just under 15000kms still on stock motor. mbrp can, and new track. i pound drifts, jump it, get it stuck, sucsessfully rolled it w/o wrecking my hood, and its still tickin hard. 109 mph on radar and thats maxed. i maintain it myself so i can say i know what im talkin abuot when its about skidoos. speed isn't everything man
But see.... you have an 800.... while the 03 F7 is only a 700... and it owns the mxz800. I am not a sled hater like Ray said but You can't say AC's are shitty sleds when they owning Ski Doo in speed like that with a 100cc smaller motor...
yea the 03 f7 was the last fastest f7 because the 03 f7 was faster than the F8 so they had emmsions on the 04 my dad has a 2003 F7 EFI highly modified crazy speed and take off
yea i believe that, i had a 04 and i raced a buddy of mine with a 03 same mods and he beat me every time, its the drive train that they changed when they went to the diamond drive it slowed them down.
no it wasnt the diamond drive that slowed them down. it was the size of the drivers. the 03's had 10:2 drivers and the 04-06 had 9:2's. so the top end was reduced. the diamond drive is much more durable than a chain case and added a pound or two but the drivers is what made the speed difference.
my theory is that they brought up the previous sled's speed on the gun. If it did do 129 congrads but my theory stands as another sled speed on memory
I'm not saying that it did that speed but that run was on the ice and that makes a HUGE! difference in speed compared to snow. i've gone down an ice road in yellowknife before on a piece of shit 340cc and it would beary the speedo very easy....
The 03 firecats are faster then the new f seris sleds. It had to do with clucthing and other things im sure. It doesnt make sense but Im pretty sure its true
Its the diamond drive cluth system they used on the new sleds. The new drive was a little heavier but helped centralize the weight and its supposed to be more durable.
yeah i dont really get it. i understand the wanna centralize the weight. but the diamond drive puts all the torque on one side of the sled, instead of torqueing both which i think would stablize it better. u know what i mean???? its seems like it would always wanna torque everything left all the time, w the diamond drive
In 04 they switched to a diamond drive and it slowed them up a lil bit. My 03 walks away from every 800 and even beat my cousins zr900. They r the shit.
