This place is GREAT, nice get away from DT living. Yes it's under an overpass, because land prices are insane around here. So it's here or an hour drive.
That is a wicked idea building a bike park under an overpass. Do you guys have any problems with homeless people trying to use those boardwalks for firewood?
yoyo KidsWhoRip, if you would like to get better in basketball, you must start following a legit workout course. I used the famous training prog over at (50 inch vertical [dot] com). I haven t even told this to my basketball teammates yet ha
is there anyone else other than KidsWhoRip tested out the nba exercise course for dunking and shooting? Even players like Kobe have used it before. If you have no idea what's going on, here you go | 50 inch vertical [dot] com |
I-5 Colonnade Mountain Bike Park in Seattle - Road Gap Jump rgdxcsbkpfwsnfqfcsn exbvfi #KidsWhoRip
@ColinJon1 I've ridden here, although it does stay hard, the lack of water makes about an inch or two of basically sand/dust on the top, its pretty easy to wash out and gets dusty but its still better than mud
@justinbmxr There is usually some source of water near by to spray down the jumps, you can even smooth them out a little here and there if some rocks are in the way or holes form. Most the dudes who worked on stuff there that I talked to are pretty cool and love for people to help out and maintain stuff.
its called the ph level of the dirt p;us if your dirt has more clay it will stay harder when its dry and if it has more of a rock texture it will be loose. so get clay dirt and change the ph and it will look like this somewhat. (changing ph isnt easy or quick)
for one its under a butt load of interstate connector ramps and 2 the dirt there is compacted already for the constuction of the highway they prolly used a little bob cat frontend loader to shape and form the features
dirt is just dirt man. you get what you get, you get that soft sandy clumps in utah, you get volcanic rock in the mountians of Northern Cali and Switzerland, you get wooded chips and soft soil in British Columbia... you get what you get man.
well 'vwontheautobahn' you have been there too once, remember? the begining :) everyone is a beginner at everything.. the way i look at it, they are jumping :P at least they have some good air time..
@vwontheautobahn It's still a WIP, yeah it needs some work, but it has more potential than any other location I've seen in the area, ever. Those dudes pedal between jumps to get speed for those massive gaps. I've been riding for over 14 years, and have helped build a few local WA skate parks, ramps, and dirt jump trails, and even I pedal for those jumps. They just need work, period. So get out there and make it better instead of talking out your arse.
@mikenw255 It's called- Ride At Your Own Risk! OMG I hit a huge jump and broke my leg, it's all the states fault for allowing me to be an idiot! No, sorry it doesn't work like that. (Although seemingly does in some circumstances, aka mcd's coffee sue)
Omg i went there for my first time today around 8-ish. I didnt have my bike but i can not fucking wait to ride it! I'll probably be the only person there with a street bike =]
@Carouselzero are you retarded the bridge was there first, they just wanted to clean all the homeless shit heads and junkies the hell out of there, and gave back to the community.
my bad =s"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT READ THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in 1971 there were 2 people named kyle and emily went into a house and said 2 kill u then another person went into the house and saw finger nail marks on the door if u read this u have 2 post it on 5 diffrent vids or kyle and emily will kill u at night i dont know if thatt true but do it in case sorry

From I-5 Northbound - Take exit 168A. (Lakeview Blvd. exit). Take a left at the stop sign and we're just on the left under the freeway.

Follow These Instructions Carefully or it WON'T work!
1) Pause the video at 0:00
2) make it full screen
3) Press the left arrow key
4) Keep holding the left key and press the up arrow so now your holding two arrows down at the same time.

where do you get this kind of dirt?
all my jumps in the uk are much darker and clumpier mud. much harder to compact.
do you guys use rollers to compact them or is it just easier with that dirt?
DeFrancoRolled 2 years ago
it is under a bridge so it doesn't get that muddy or wet so it stays hard
