where do you get this kind of dirt?

all my jumps in the uk are much darker and clumpier mud. much harder to compact.

do you guys use rollers to compact them or is it just easier with that dirt?

it is under a bridge so it doesn't get that muddy or wet so it stays hard

@ColinJon1 I've ridden here, although it does stay hard, the lack of water makes about an inch or two of basically sand/dust on the top, its pretty easy to wash out and gets dusty but its still better than mud

@justinbmxr There is usually some source of water near by to spray down the jumps, you can even smooth them out a little here and there if some rocks are in the way or holes form. Most the dudes who worked on stuff there that I talked to are pretty cool and love for people to help out and maintain stuff.

its called the ph level of the dirt p;us if your dirt has more clay it will stay harder when its dry and if it has more of a rock texture it will be loose. so get clay dirt and change the ph and it will look like this somewhat. (changing ph isnt easy or quick)

for one its under a butt load of interstate connector ramps and 2 the dirt there is compacted already for the constuction of the highway they prolly used a little bob cat frontend loader to shape and form the features

@vwontheautobahn It's still a WIP, yeah it needs some work, but it has more potential than any other location I've seen in the area, ever. Those dudes pedal between jumps to get speed for those massive gaps. I've been riding for over 14 years, and have helped build a few local WA skate parks, ramps, and dirt jump trails, and even I pedal for those jumps. They just need work, period. So get out there and make it better instead of talking out your arse.

From I-5 Northbound - Take exit 168A. (Lakeview Blvd. exit). Take a left at the stop sign and we're just on the left under the freeway.

From I-5 Southbound - Take Exit 168A (Boylston Ave. exit). Follow Boylston Ave for a half mile and veer left under the overpass onto Lakeview Blvd. Colonnade is on the right under the deck of the freeway.
