  • last time I remembered..The elbows had to be pointing at an angle above the back to be a BB bent over row... if not is was not being performed right.

  • nice warm up weight

  • I have been wanting to do this exercise for some time but when i try it it often feels like my lower back is getting sore in a bad way. any hints to do it better. Could it be too much weight maybe ?

  • thats not 70.. thanks fucken 40 kg!!

  • @Ashneelp Each bell is 25Kg and the bar is 20Kg. You clearly frequent the gym regularly.

On another note. I prefer to do this exercise with a little bend in the knees as after deadlifts the strain is too much for me.

  • Ok but that's not a bent over row I am saying. Absolutely shocking form. Look at the fucking elbows.

  • @rodlaz1984 The form isnt perfect yea, knees should be bent also along some other little tthings but the back poisition n so forth are correct, u see pro bb-rs doing this like with very shitty form back should b eclose to parallel with the ground, that's how powerlifter who has competed in my gym taught me...

  • Pulling the weight up to your fucking chest! You pull it to the waist for proper form. And the elbows are nowhere near tight enough to the body to focus the weight on the lats.

  • @rodlaz1984 Depends if you want to invole some upper back muscles doesnt it...fuck off and have a re-think.

  • @kombatcookie Pulling to waist is pretty much the ideal way to do it, exercising the whole back not just traps + rear deltoid. check for different ways to do it exrx.net/WeightExercises/BackGeneral/BBBentOverRow.html

  • Pulling the weight up to your fucking chest! You pull it to the waist for proper form.

  • @rodlaz1984 Glenn PEndlay who invented these rows, advised pulling it to your lower chest.

    dumbasses.

  • @ruskiniedzwiedz you're the dumbass if you think pendlay invented this style of rowing

  • BAD FORM

  • good dude but I think you should bend ur knees a little because I did that today and after the couple reps I felt a little tension in my back.....but hey its just advice right?......at the end of the day U can do whateva the FUCK!!!!! u wanna do.

  • @marquiseacorbett yeah, tension in your back... ... goosh you forgot to read that rowing engages erector spinae muscles.

  • Shit เอ้ย

  • YOUR an idiot

  • its all good but personaly i think you could lift more.your alot bigger looking thanmyself and i do it with 90kg but i mite be talking site cuz this is probly an instructional vid and you do lift more when you workout lol

  • Bra starkt men man måste tydligen klaga på nåt.. Fan du, risig kökssoffa i bakgrunden, du borde skrapa av och måla den.

  • i normally don't do Bent Rows because of my lower back issues but can this exercise also work the outer chest. i would go and just do it myself to see but i really don't want to take the chance to mess up my back more on a hunch.

  • Looks like someone's got a case o' the downs.

  • Nice form.

  • YOU SUCK!

    x

  • douche bag...

  • These are Pendlay Rows, not BOR.

  • Even I like to do it this way back parallel to the floor.

  • i think its time to change the title of ur vid bro cuz ur doin PENDLAY ROWS not BENT OVER ROWS

  • If you want to target your lats you stand more upright but bringing it to your chest will target your trapezius/upper back more. Now, on alot of 5x5 training programs, where you have chin ups and deadlifts involved.. the last thing you want is to neglect the traps and do even more work on your lats.. therefore the OP is correct this should be brought into the chest, shoulder blades together to target this area. I think the ability to add more weight regularly makes it better thanthe upright row.

  • Comment removed

  • hey extremely stupid person, don't let the bar rest after each one of your 3 rows.

  • nice !

  • Can I suggest lowering the weight, slower form so you feel the shoulders blades coming together this is what your after, rhomboid, lower and middle trapezius development. Also you can just use ROM from knee to stomach. not floor to stomach.

  • good form for parallel rows!

  • good workout, gotta lose that extra fat

  • nice to see some people still do bent over rows and actually bend over.

  • The form looks like it could cause some serious back issues in the long run. I'd bend the knees more, raise the back higher up and arch it backwards a bit.

  • I'm 6 2, 267 pounds pure muscle. I hate the youtube trash talking. Shut up, eat more food till food prices hit the roof. All of you are losers.

  • lol i can cheat cul this shit yet this guy is struggling with it.. WEAK

  • @HeavilyArmoR3D cause ur a sick cunt. thats why...shut the fuck up! act like som hero..youtube users nowdays....

  • if any 1 thinks this isnt good form, they better go do some research!

  • 70 KG is piss weak for a barbel row, there is no point only doing 70 KG if ur doing 15 reps

  • form is perfect, his face cracked me up though!! funny shit, wish there was sound to this

  • his form is good u fuckers

  • His form is fine, if a little imprefect-but whose is?

  • Not smart...Do one arm rows on a bench. Those bent over rows will fuck up your back...

  • LOL. ur fucking kidding

  • if you do bad form yes...but otherwise NO!

  • thekid, mate ur a dipshit... u wont get anywhere in body building without bent over rows, u need atleast these or a deadlifft to make a program work

  • wake up and smell your ass....ANYBODY can build a body without those exercises. WAKE UP!!!!

  • hey dick head, ask any fucking builder builder and they WILL have a dead lift or a bent over row in their program! bnecause it is a full body workout & u fukn need it, ask a pro - Vince delmonte, or scooby werkstatt. do some research u fucking dumbass, i bet ur a scrawny cunt

  • refer to my last comment. i'm 6'1 225 hardly scrawny....pussy boy....now go stick your thumb up your ass dumb fuck....and keep taking steroids

  • haha... ur still a bitch, anyone with HALF a brain will know its the perfect whole body exercise... useless son of a bitch, shows how little you know. lol

  • have a look at ur negative comes dumbass, isnt that saying something 2 u ??? lol. WAKE UP!!!

  • Anybody knows the "squat" is the perfect overall exercise. READ!! Get educated...You can't because you replaced that thumb that was up your ass with your head...LOL!!!!!!

  • do yourself a favour and look at ur negative comments, u fucking dumbass. i bet u didnt even get through school, to fucking stupid. LOL

  • All that I said from the beginning was for this guy in the video to do was one- arm rows. They are better for your back than bent-over rows. Then YOU called me a dick head...WTF is that? It is YOU that needs to go back to school. DICK HEAD!!!! Your just an asswipe that likes to talk shit and start arguments....Your pathetic...Go fuck yourself.....

  • a lil too heavy for him for sure his hips and lower back move too much, lower back should be troughed down and tight not arched even a little

  • Good form dude!!!

Those who say it's not know very little about lifting.

  • I didn't think this guys form was too good like. Didn't like the way his elbows were not tighter so his sides... Work the shoulders more doing it this way, when should be lookinf to focus as much as as possible on the lats by keeping elbows tucked in

  • isnt that 60kg? bar 20 + 2x 20kg plates?

    or am i wrong

  • It´s: Bar 20kg + 2x 25kg plates..

  • not such a good form.

  • you look like gethin jenkins

  • Lol all the comments are like this:

"You're doing it wrong, you're meant to press it over your head"

".. well.. no. That would be an overhead press"

  • lol very funny !! please post more

  • lorodz, he has perfect form

  • no offence but you are using momentum and obviously the weight is too heavy for you. you are asking for injury, why not start with lighter weights and work your way up?

  • haha pussys like you need shot! thats why some of us get big and wimpy safety ponces like you stay think and weak...go and read a book instead you fairy!

  • post a vid yourself internet bodybuilder, i bet your a wreck

  • i hate bodybuilding its for fairys...powerlifting is my game

  • You are 24 year old kid, when you injure yourself through bad form your body will regenerate quickly.

As time goes by you will begin to notice that this capacity to regenerate goes down hill, unless you are taking steroids.

When you get an injury which stops you training for a lengthy amount of time you will understand why people are interested in keeping good form over moving more weight, and with your attitude this will be soon.

See what you squat after a knee ligament injury.

  • Mate im 22

Ive lifted weights since the age of 15. Pussys like you really have no clue. I've had long term injuries, believe me i had a year out with rotator cuff.

Good form is paramount, im not desputing that but gym queen fairy choir boys like you who do nothing but worry about form will never progress. Anyway this guys form is exellent

  • As I said wait till you pass 30 and you realise that you will be in this body for the rest of you life and you will have a different perspective..... kid.

  • yea. his rows look good. his knees could be bent a tad more, but no big deal, if he can handle the weight.

  • Megso3, I think what makes you angry my young friend is that you know, deep down, that most people who go into a gym go in their to maintain a healthy body. They neither have the will nor the genetics to take it further. I go so I will still be able to walk when I am 80 years old.

It hurts you that they are not in awe of you for lifting heavy. You put so much work into it and people don't care, not impressed. So you berate others for lifting medium and safe.

    Please get over yourself.

  • U need to squeeezze the facial muscles throughout the entire excericise dude! come on now

  • Man..dont take the shit from others...your form is fine

  • don't take shit from these guys, you got much better form than most people who post their videos here.

  • shit bent over rows, you put them to shame.

  • Looks to me like your lifting into your chest, try standing slightly more upright and lift into your stomach and slow down your dropping the weight, lower it with control!

  • No, I want to pull the bar to my chest. It's like a reverse benchpress. Very good for the shoulders.

  • lol do what u want man..

  • Gah! I also do regular rows. Shit man, I know what I'm doing.

Quastion: Have you ever tried doing rows the way I do in the vid?

  • @LarsTimme whats a quastion? lol

  • @LarsTimme i have. it feels great at the shoulder blades and the rear delts. but i still stay a bit more upright beacause i have a weak lower back. your form's good.

  • @LarsTimme Yeah, some of these guys love commenting on videos, but'll never post a video themselves doing it the correct way.

  • @bacelines

You are 100% right. The proper form is bending over slightly more upright.

  • @LarsTimme still to many places fucked. back is good straight, but not parralel with floor.. also, look at the ground forward.. you're experiencing pain in nek for no reason. also, the barbell should touch floor like deadlift

  • Man its supposed to go to the chest to build back muscle.

  • @bacelines sorry, but he's right.

  • Yea I know. I've been practicing a lot on that one and I finally manage to master it!

  • great mouth form...
