I have been scanned and patted down for the past 6 years. The agents have always been polite and except for them robbing me of 5 minutes of my precious time, it’s never been such a big deal. For those that seem to get so uptight about all this, maybe you should take the time to do some deep breathing. It may be good for them. or take a friggin bus

Actually the 4th Amendment is relevant. First these government aholes regulate everything. So now they have security scanners. Then they will want more "security measures". We allowed the BUSH administration to granted Homeland Security, for which TSA falls under now, the power to do whatever they felt was and is necessary to prevent another terrorist attack like 9/11. This is not a Bill of Rights issue. You have no "right" to fly in an airplane. These measures in no way infringe on your right to be secure in your person, as protected by the 4th Amendment. No one is going to come to your home and pat you down. Nor will you be subject to arrest or prosecution if you refuse to be screened at an airport. If you refuse to be screened, you WILL be denied boarding priveleges. The keyword though, is PRIVELEGE. If you don't want to be patted down then DON'T FLY!

If the American people don't get off their couches and protest against this then this new method will be applied at all places that now require just metal detectors, it will become the new standard. And it is not implausible for them to upgrade it with more intense x-rays when they catch people with illegal things in their body cavities, either they would have to start doing strip searches and cavity searches like they do in prison or do full intensity x-rays that cause osteoporosis and cancer.

Since 2001 there has NOT BEEN EVEN ONE terrorist attempt, successful or foiled, that involved someone boarding a plane at a U.S. airport. Before full body scanners and enhanced pat-downs were introduced U.S. airport security was working just fine.

This is not a Bill of Rights issue. You have no "right" to fly in an airplane. These measures in no way infringe on your right to be secure in your person, as protected by the 4th Amendment. No one is going to come to your home and pat you down. Nor will you be subject to arrest or prosecution if you refuse to be screened at an airport. If you refuse to be screened, you WILL be denied boarding priveleges. The keyword though, is PRIVELEGE. If you don't want to be patted down then DON'T FLY!

If the American people don't get off their couches and protest against this then this new method will be applied at all places that now require just metal detectors, it will become the new standard. And it is not implausible for them to upgrade it with more intense x-rays when they catch people with illegal things in their body cavities, either they would have to start doing strip searches and cavity searches like they do in prison or do full intensity x-rays that cause osteoporosis and cancer.

Since 2001 there has NOT BEEN EVEN ONE terrorist attempt, successful or foiled, that involved someone boarding a plane at a U.S. airport. Before full body scanners and enhanced pat-downs were introduced U.S. airport security was working just fine.

@TopTributeBands your an idiot pull your head out of your ass 9/11 took our security before that we hadent had hardly any terrorist attacks and none from the air. we americans are way more relaxed than some other airports arround the world. in germany in some of the airports the security is tighter because of attacks and they even have people walking arround with machineguns to make sure no one trys anything funny

@TopTributeBands ...I thought The priests did that already...They also didn't even get a slap on the wrist....Just saying...Very Sad for our kids, this world has come a long way from being in when the street lights came on and wondering around the airport at all the stores...almost like a mall before you got on the plan. These were nice when dealing with a delay of hours.I'd just do the scanner if they want to see my body the jokes on then. I agree with you... when it comes to my kids!!
