Yes, this yellow pages ad is clearly part of a vast gay plot. Most people are too blind to see it, but seeing as how you conspiracy theorists are all in the top 1% of the most perceptive and intelligent people on earth, you picked up on it.
I don't know about "pushing homosexuality into the mainstream", but I just saw this ad on TV and the first thing I thought of was wow, are they saying that being a lesbian is "plan b" That's bound to offend somebody.
and manman....what the hell is a bizarre agenda to push homosexuality into the mainstream?..........unless you live under a rock or have never watched television OR stepped outside your front door. i will excuse your ignorant comment. Homosexuals are as much a part of society and in places you frequent (OMG!) so please stop with the pea brain sized idiocy.
people need to stop getting their panties all knotted. "plan b" wasn't in anyway intended to "put men first" or insinuate that if you can't find a man go to a woman....it was a simple play more at the fact this the lady in this add had serious delusions about love and thus anything would go if it meant her "final goal" of marriage being attained.
ppl are saying that some are too serious, and need to try to see the humor in this ad. Let me just say, i like some good comedy, but this wasn't as much of a funny ad as it was some part of a bizarre agenda to push homosexuality into the mainstream...so what, are we supposed to jump everyone's bones, male or female??

@littlemisshc Well, no, they're not. They're making (gentle) fun of a state of mind where getting married is one's sole concern, instead of perhaps meeting and dating someone, or even several someones, with whom one might have interests and goals in common.
As a out and proud lesbian, I approve. There's a difference between people that get funny, and people that need to get a life and see some humour in our sad, sad world. Stop being so serious and learn to laugh!
@realms1 - thank you for your opinion. Feel free to have it. Just be aware that your 'permission' is not required and that you do not get to decide what another person is allowed to feel.
@Timmybear Thank goodness you've informed me of such. I may have gone around the rest of my life wondering why my omniscience isn't working-- you're a doll, timmybear.
@realms1 - You're welcome. My point, of course, was that saying 'this is offensive' without making it clear that it's your opinion implies this is an objective statement true for everyone. Of course, given that a lot of people these days think the phrase 'in my opinion' clears them of having to RATIONALLY defend their view, I'm not sure what is to be done with the destruction of language. :) (People like Sarah Palin or the Pope, these days, continue to confuse their opinion with Truth)
Hee hee. Canada is funny!

@saberbazer
Unless they used artificial insemination, although that's like...against Jesus...or something. As is misusing Q.E.D. while trollin'.
