I can't help but think that the name Barthomew Collins sounds a good deal like Barthhalomew Cubbins in the book the 500 hatys of Barthomew Cubbins. Also dr suess found this movie "warped beyond reconision". Perhaps Dr seuss intended the boy hero to be Barthomew Cubbins.

I think this is the greatest childrens film ever made. Even better than Wizard of Oz. People love OZ(and so do I) for nostalgic reasons and timeless special effects. but Dr. T doesn't have a script that mianders, and it has more songs that are just as good, and unlike OZ it's really about something, the pathos of children
