Whahahaha guns, cannons, war, almost strangling, and an animal exploding, how deliciously politically incorrect! That's how they should still make cartoons!
Omg! After watching this cartoon watch a Mickey Mouse cartoon called Barnyard Battle. They are sooooo similar! The animation and everything! Check it out!
I was playing epic mickey, and the part where he met clarable, and shes like, do you remember me? i was sad when he said no, cause i was like, YES, YES I DO!! I.. I REMEMBER YOU FROM KINGDOM HEARTS :DD lmao.
The first Walt Disney-directed Oswalds were reissued by Walter Lantz around 1931-1932, with score and sound effects composed and synchronized by James Dietrich. That's the same reissues that got re-released into 16mm home use prints by Guild/Firelight in the 40's.
Seems Oswald has a different girlfriend in this one, sometimes he's got feelings for a cat-girl, but here it's another rabbit (as in Oh What a Knight, Sky Scrappers and Rival Romeos). :)
Also, ironic that he'd get into a fight with a mouse, seeing as he'd end up getting replaced by Mickey. The plane fight though and the ground fight were epic, punching his head off, then punching his body to his head. :D
The Elephant exploding was a bit horrifying though, then Oswald being shattered. :p
It wasn't that the copyright was "stolen", but it did belong to Mintz. Mintz wanted Disney to do the cartoons cheaper (Disney wanted $2200 per cartoon, Mintz wanted him to do it for $1800). Since Disney didn't agree, Mintz took the cartoon and the animators away - all except Ub Iwerks, who helped draw initial designs for Mickey.
why go in and se this video and dislike it? he is a cartoon? and a good one even!? you have no hearts!!!

@khonsmosis they were both animated by Ub Iwerks almost single handedly so it is logical they look a lot like each other.

Ironic that this cartoon was made fifteen years before America's involvement in World War II...or even before World War II even broke out.
charlesk1974 2 years ago
@charlesk1974 Nothing ironic about it, the cartoon is in reference to WWI.
herpybobo 1 year ago
@charlesk1974 If it's Before wwII then you have to think that its probably about WWI. Duh/.

Charles B Mintez stole Oswald's copyright from Walt Disney so Disney made Mickey Mouse.

Oswald sure likes kissing the ladies a lot. Not only in this cartoon, but others as well.
MbiraBeat 3 years ago
Dude! He beat up a mouse! Got a bit longer ears than Mickey though, could it be Mortimer? Or did Mickey's ears just get stretched somehow?
MrX1982 4 years ago
That's Oswald. Mickey's design is based off of Oswald. (Both Mickey and Oswald were created and designed by Walt Disney.)
RabidSonicFan 3 years ago
Actually, they were both created and designed by Ub Iwerks, Disney chief animator back in the day.
donschnitzius 3 years ago
Oh, I didn't know that. I always thought they were created by Disney. lol
