success has nothing to do with talent. success has to do with marketability. yngwie malmsteen is undeniably a better guitarist then green days guitarist,yet green day are bigger,because they are more marketable. the singer from mayday parade has a better range then green days singer,and a better tone to his voice,but green day just wrote some hits four years ago. it all has to do with how many teenage girls the company can get to jock on the band. period.

Ahaha, but my friend. Alexi Laiho aswell is a better guitarist, and yes, yngwie malmsteen is a great guitarist, but for what he does. Not for the mainstream industry. Therefore, green day's billie-joe can engage the audience without Sweep picking and tapping, he engages them with the music. And that my friend, is a true rockstar. :)
