I have a scrambler xt, I am going to be doing some fishing from the kayak in 2 weeks for some bait and then going to use the kayak to run bait at night for sharks. DO the sharks give you any trouble ever out on the water?
I was using a Monster of a silver spoon. LOL! Its a Kastmaster silver spoon. This guy weighs in at 2oz. When i bought it I thought it was over kill at first and figured I would never really catch anything on it. Was I wrong! that spoon was small for those Mackerels. it was more like a snack than a meal for those smacks!
@worldcomedyproducts it kind of depends on what your definition of "trouble" is. on this particular day sharks where in the area. At times you could look down in the clear water and see them about 10-15 feet below as they swam by. as you saw in the video shark did take a bite out of mackerel that was struggling on my line. as we headed back to shore a shark followed us in our kayaks. The shark could sense us looking back, because he would scurry off. then he be following us again.
thanks its was a TON OF FUN catching those Mackerel. Sometimes I get so confused on the tackle i need to carry. Should I I go Light or heavy or carry all kinds?
what kind of line and reels do you use thanks and nice vids

@yerbaby73
The shark was down about a good 10 feet or so. I was not worried as I was able to keep track of him, eventually I did loose track of him.
