  • since its not available on your website anymore where can i buy it

  • @hzrd4ever it's now been discontinued. Not sure why, but they announced it when the HERO 2 was launched.

  • How did you do to bring 960p resolution in 16:9?

  • @SuicidalSportsMovie It only shoots in 16:9 at 720p

  • hello, i'd like to buy the 960 verson but i have a question: I'll use it mainly for making onboard motorbike videos, but without going to fast (can reach 95 mph) so I ask you if I can use the camera without his waterproof cover that distort a bit the audio. I remember that I read that I can use it without cover only if not passing the 95 mph or something like that. Is it true or it's better to use anyway the cover?

  • @loskiff Uses the cover for sure. Without it you have a very vulnerable camera.

  • @loskiff there are 2 different back covers, a completely waterproof one and a vented one, the vented one allows for better audio quality, either way you'd still be using the front cover.

  • @aaron4820 Can I buy the unwaterproof one on gopro's site?

  • @loskiff Which edition did you buy? Because mine (hero 2 outdoor edition) came with the vented back cover.

  • @aaleeron I havn't buy any yet, but thanks I'll check with which cover it comes

  • people i would prefer getting the 1080p....they are making way more attatchments for it and will be worth it! they are coming out with a wifi back...they have a screen........wireless mic and battery extension the 960 cant have any of those except maybe the wireless mic

  • does it have a fisheye?

  • it says on GO Pro .com that it doesn't come with a memory card then how does it save video??? Please Help im planning on ordering one in a matter of hours?

  • @AustrianBeatsDMT you have to purchase a class 10 SD card which 16gb is about $35 which on 1080p can record for 255 minutes.

  • @theonspringaz Thanks

  • the black elastic thing....

was the chesty to hold the camera right?

  • I'm going to get a gopro for park/tree skiing, and I'll be using imovie to edit it, should i get the 960p or the 1080p. thanks

  • @skiinANDlaxin Well for what you want to do, the 960 would be sufficient. But it really comes down to cost.. IF YOU HAVE THE EXTRA MONEY BUY THE 1080p! you will have the choice to shoot in 960 or 1080, the reason GoPro offers a 960 version is to offer a reasonably priced HD POV camera without breaking you piggy bank:)

  • 1080p or 960 version for hunting, and snowmobiling??

  • holy crap, it comes with all those mounts? if it does im definitely buying one.

my computer can't handle 1080p video editing so im just gonna settle for the 960

  • @Hoser1358 but i dnt think it comes with a chesty strap ???? which ones do??

  • What do you think of using the 960 for mountain biking and maybe a skydive? 30fps should be nice in 720p?

  • GoPro hero 960 actually does do 60 FPS, if you use WVGA resolution, it looks just as good as the 720 resolution.

  • No u idiot i dident see see it from you first

  • Hey can u give me an advice. For the sport im doing should i get a 960 or 1080p Go Pro (parkour/freerunning/Gymnastics) Another question. If your editing with the 960 for slow-motion. Is it really smooth?

    Thanks,

    Tomy

  • @TomiVichrak Well it wont be as smooth as 60fps with the HERO. But for the price difference you would have to weigh it out.

960 should cover your bases with the sports you mentioned. You want a more vertical frame any way.

  • @iEhpicGaming of course

  • @iEhpicGaming ofc

  • Is it waterproof and whats the different beetwen the other hero cameras?

  • @dsggful it has a waterproof casing. If it is not in the case then it is not waterproof, it would get wet and break like any other camera. There is a backing that u can put on it that has holes in it so u get better sound if you are not going to be totally submerged or its raining. It also comes with a full backing with no holes for full waterproofing. It can go 160 2 180 ft underwater. Personally im a skier so that part doesnt matter to me. The diff between the heros is the quality 960 p 2 1080

  • Thanks for the review - i bought one after watching!

  • screen on gopro is just fucked up and the quality is good anyway lol.. I have 960 and it is as good as the others lol

  • doesnt the 1080p have and screen to view what your filming and the 960 doesnt ?? what should i get for skateboarding and bmx

  • @skater862053 The Hero has a port on the back of the camera that will allow you to attach a LCD BAC PAC or a Battery BAC PAC. The 960 is a more affordable option if 960 suits most of your activities.

For Skateboarding and BMX you should be good with the 960. It shoots the highest vertical shot and with the two sports of your choice you should be happy with it!

  • @PointOfViewCameras thank you so much

  • Dope I'm gonna go cop one of these tomorrow.

  • jeg skal bestile goprokamera

  • but the question is will it blend?

  • U fail at opening boxes

  • im not shure what one to get the 1080 or this one i do a lot of mountain biking longboarding and snowboarding what one should i get please replyy!!

  • i cant get the thumbscrew loose

    any tips?

  • should i get a 960 or 1080 i will use it for skidooing quading and motocross ???

    please reply!!!!

  • @TF0X58 Well it's really up to you. If you get the 960 it's going to cost you less. But the down side is thats your only option. If you get the 1080 you have the option of capturing a much wider shot. U may want that when your quading.. But from the sounds of what you will be doing, you should be good to go with the 960.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers,

    Zealand

  • @PointOfViewCameras The HD Hero 1080 and 960 shoot in the same angle...The only difference is the 1080 shoots 720p@60fps, 1080p (127 degrees angle), and has a BUS port.

  • @TF0X58 all depends on your budget. The 1080 gives you the option of 960 but the 960 shoots just that.

If you have the bank go with the 1080, if you don't the 960 is still a wicked camera.

  • BTW: What's the "white-do hickey" piece for?

  • @MBRatajczyk It's a little Quick-Release/Vibration Plug. In other words, less vibration for very bumpy rides and stopes the camera for a possible release if the housing was really throttled.

  • @MBRatajczyk

    it reduces vibration and clicking

  • hey i want to get one for airsofting wat camera would you recomend?

  • Hilarious can't believe I've had to look up a video on how to open the box and even then doesn't look easy ;)

  • When I saw the price @ your website.. I was like.. Oh my god! That´s amazing! I´m getting one! xD

  • where did you buy it from?

  • @technologykid45 We sell these, this is what we do!

  • What would be better for snowboard vids 960 or 1080 version? Also do both have the fish eye lens?

  • @Jon95McC Well 960 is more a vertical shot, that is usually the angle you want when snowboarding in order to catch the snow to sky angle. They both have the fish eye look.

  • What computer do you nee(window xp or mac) to edit the video? I am thinking of buying ones of these for motocross riding.

  • @OffroadBeaver U can use either one. There are many different editing platforms for both computers, just depends how technical you want to get with it.

  • I love my Gopro I use it for snowboard and just messing around CHECK OUT MY VIDS!

  • @stewy2316 Nice work man!

Love cypress. Try rockin out the monopod one day.. makes for some very cool angles just to switch it up a little.

    Cheers,

    Zealand

  • is it good 4 longboarding??

  • @jeeeerpa Without a doubt! I think it would be perfect for longboarding.. you need that tall 960 frame for that. Plus you could use a monopod with the tripod adapter like the X Shot.

Check our other vid: Drift Sound And Picture Demo to get a idea of the mono pod.. but it's 720 footage.

  • @PointOfViewCameras THANK you soooo mutch! im planning on buying this one soon :D

  • @jeeeerpa happy to help! we have it in stock at 2bills!

  • Do you have to plug the GoPro wires into the t.v and into the GoPro to upload the videos? :/

  • How to load your GoPro battery , isn´t there battery loader at all?

  • @DARKFIST14 Awsome!

Yeah the 960 will be perfect for your snowboarding. Send us a link to your first vid after you mange to get your 960!

  • its like opening a present that youve wanted for ever

  • Is this camera worth what its worth, and is it a big deal if it dosent come with the bus expansion port......thanks

  • @yamaha1051 it depends on what you want to do with it.

The GOPRO is going to have a LCD screen that you can snap on the back, so if that or the extra battery pac is not something that you think you will want at any time then you are all good!

    Mark Zealand

  • does it come with the batery or not? thanks

  • @MadSk8boarding Yes!

  • how much did this one cost? and when u put slow motion afte ro nthe editing is the movement really clear?

  • @thedarknight5671

Not sure i understand the question? The basic features on the GOPRO is the shutter button on the top to start filming and under the LCD is the Power/Mode button to turn it on or off and to go through the different modes.. thats it! So when you start shooting you should hear on beep, when you press the shutter button again to stop shooting, you should hear three beeps.

Not sure i answered your question though.

  • What cam would be better for filming racing? Like kart racing. thanks :)

  • @kartdriver16

    Hey Kartdriver,

GOPRO, Contour and Drift are our top cameras for your kind of sport.

Contours great for side of the helmet, very sleek. GOPRO has a very cool chesty for the lower POV of the hands on the wheel view. Drift has a built in monitor and a remote to activate it! All good cams, just depends on what suits you!

  • hi guys i was woundering if it is possible 2 convert the footage into 16:9 as i am a dowhill longboarder and like widescreen please get back 2 me asap

  • is the camera affected by salt water

  • @dumbbroadcasts nope it can go up to 180 feet. saltwater, freshwater, brackish. the waterproof housing is included with it

  • WOW, LETS JUST SPEND 1;40 SECS OPENING IT!??!!

  • do you have to use the SD card reader to get files to your computer or can you just use the USB cable??

  • @EpikCupcake It's always best to use a reader regardless. It always works and helps avoid possible problems such as plugging the usb into your computer and shorting out the device ruining it and most likely the info on the card. Spend 10 dollars on a reader and never connect a device directly again and take risks like that. Good luck!

  • Very useful video, thanks for uploading! :D

    Just a few questions though;

Does it come with an SD card or will I have to buy one? Is it any special type or..?

Can other GoPro accessories be used with this for example if i wanted to buy the chest harness or surf extension pack.

    Thanks ~Jammy7797

  • I cant wait im getting it for X-mas :D

  • Hey! what's your knife?

  • Comment removed

  • How much memory does this have? does it have expandable slots? or is it jst inbuilt memory?

  • has that cam a fisheye ?

  • Hey =) Where do I buy that cool "stick" mount for the GoPro cameras? I´ve seen it on some of their videos, but I can´t find it on their site.

  • what is the difference between this one and the HD Helmet Hero?

  • thank you this is wonderfull it told me what you lose form the other ones

  • do you have to separately order a memory card?

  • Does this camera also mount to handlebars? Trying to purchase one for a Christmas gift and really have NO IDEA about these cameras.

  • @djclydesimpson u have to buy a separate mount

  • whats the difference between 30fps and 60fps?

  • @the frames in one second 60fps is better for slo mo cuz theres more frames thats it

  • it will do 60 frames per second just in wvga non hd

  • @shazzbazz740 You are absolutely correct. For those of you wanting the cheapest GoPro HD that does 60 FPS at higher resolutions, go with the GoPro Naked: pointofviewcameras[dot com]/gopro-hd-hero-naked.html

  • is there a screen tha u can reveiw your videos on?

  • Thanks, just one more, will this work with windows xp, as i've been seeing lots of conflicting info on this.

  • @PorcupinePower Yes, you will have no problem as you can simply use SD card reader to tarnfer files to your computer.

  • @PorcupinePower Yes, no problem. You can simply take out the memory card and use any memory card reader to transfer video files. We sell the readers for under $10

  • How does the helmet mount attach to the helmet?

Nice vid by the way, Im really looking forward to purchasing one of these.

  • @PorcupinePower - it attaches using the 3M sticky pads that adhere the mounting plate to the helmet. On the base of the helmet mount, there is a slide on system that fits with the adhesive base.

  • what is shown on that tiny screen on the back?? that the 960 does not come with?

  • @fluffygreenmuffins - that isn't actually a screen, it is a felt spacer on the inside of the case which gives the camera a more snug fit.

  • Does the video have to be in that SQUARE format? Or can it still go just as wide as the original Gopro HD?

  • @ekidnaoz - well, at 960p you are looking at 1280x960 and at 720p - 1280x720. The frame will be a little higher in 960, but the video will not be square as in SD.

  • nice knife! extreme ratio??

  • Like the price and no 1080 is cool, but 720 at both 30 and 60 would have been a plus. Don't care for 4:3 960i.

In fact, only having 720 as the only option would be better. I really like the new "one button mode" (aka moron mode) as it avoids hitting the wrong button and changing modes. When the camera is mounted on a helmet, hitting the wrong button as you're groping for the camera is a real possibility. So fewer choices is a plus if they're the right choices, IMHO.

  • @dahveed284 - Totally hear that.. but this is a great camera option for surfers, paddle boarders, kite boarders etc, because of the higher frame it captures more of the vertical, not cutting off the head or feet. I agree, 720p would have been nice at 30 and 60, but it is still a great product :)

  • As cool as the 1080 but much cheaper. GREAT

  • @namphu - absolutely!

  • @namphu at $179 you can't go wrong
