@gerry1888 You can always start with a cheapo acoustic and see if you will be interested on spending money on an electric. I bought an acoustic first to learn the basics and then decided to go with electric which i bought used.

yeah, the tapping is sets of three different notes, not just two, but it's really just leaving out the middle note there, so it' not a big change in the sound.
