compare it to kids who receive tons of Christmas presents every year, they aren't excited by the gifts anymore and they take it for granted.. but then one year they get no presents and they realize how much they miss getting them. Then when they

get presents again theyre excited and sure appreciate it.

it's that initial ascent back up is what gets people real excited, and its w/ new personnel under sanctions, so the win was a a statement to the NCAA. To me its similar to USC in 2002-2003. After the last 2 seasons of "declining fortunes", the fans become appreciative of big wins like this. Not to mention it's USC's first win in the state of Oregon since 2005.

my reasoning for the usc fans you saw "overly" happy for the win is this: this is the first major win in the kiffin era (last time USC beat a top 5 team was Ohio state in 2008), and if this win symbolizes the Trojans' return to dominance, you won't see the fans celebrating like that for future big wins.

this is the fist oregon loss that i was really angry after in a long time. the thing that got me is that the receivers droped so many passes

I'm pretty sure you guys are permanently partnered with the Arizona schools, so you'll always play them in the South. The Washington schools are paired with the newcomers.... and California schools are paired together.
