@sheathed011790 Sorry for the late reply, dont know how I missed it. The 55 has a small gravel called 'nutty pebble' I found at petco. The 47 column is using play sand. Of couse both have dirt as the true substrate, the gravel/sand is only about 1/2 - 3/4 inch on top.
@KETIMENE Thanks! I am feeling a lot better now that the algae is dying off too. I just need some more growth on the left side to even it out, then see how it looks before adding any more plants.
what substrate do you have for this tank?

Might be some sort hygrophilia species. Your tank looks amazing.
