Very nice. I've discovered something, though - you do NOT want socks on when you do this pose, and even pants can make it more difficult. My foot kept slipping down my leg until I stripped down to my underwear. So keep that in mind if you have trouble doing this.
The word YOGA is derived from the Sanskrit root "yuj", i "to yoke" [to the spirit] meaning "union of the Individual Soul (Atman) with the Universal Soul (Brahman). Yoga embraces a wide range of disciplines whose ultimate goal is the joining of body, mind and spirit, a conscious unification into Oneness.

hmmmm. I always wondered what the buzz about yoga was. I guess nothing. Exercice the right way,,, pushups situps butterfly kicks etc... but i guess everyone is too lazy for that; Hence the lets try and figure out a way we can stand in wierd awkard ways and say its good for us. Its called stretching. Its what you do before real exercise.
yoga is real exercise. have you ever actually tried it? it puts stress on muscles you didnt even know you had.. and holding the poses requires strength

You miss the benefits of yoga with your errant thinking.
It is not just stretching or calisthetics. It works and stimulates the internal organs, releases muscle tension, calms the mind, centers the practitioner, improves balance, improves energy and clarity.
just got back from 1 hr yoga class & muscles hurt, takes balance for the tree pose i kept falling,, its definatly not as easy as it LOOKS, holding some of those poses made me actually break sweat focusing on balance & holding it.. im not a big girl & i take the classes on days between working out at gym, its far from lazy, 1 hr burns 100 calories besides build balance & strength & keeps you tuned with your body
