@Sunaarashii Whats a 'medical car'? That is not an ambulance, it's a safety car. They have looked like that for 20 years, silver Mercedes Benz with yellow lights on top. Also, the ambulance never stops on or around the track unless there is a red flag, there are medical personal all around the track, they don't suddenly appear with a silver Mercedes and stop right on the track.

@KoivuTheHab They never looked that. They never had a van for a Safety Car. A Safety Car is a saloon car. The Medical Car carry medical personal, so they can drive to the accident and check the driver after a crash. btw: did you watched the race today? A Medical Car DID appear on the track to check the driver while the race was stopped under Safety Car.

@Sunaarashii That's not true, it's not always a saloon model, there have been plenty of Avant model Mercedes safety cars in F1. No I did not see the race, today's F1 is just not worth it, it's quite worthless to be honest.

The Safety Car stops the race and the Medical Car check the driver if he's ok. Since i cannot post links on YT (great idea), can you go to google and search for "Medical Car"? There should be enough pictures. There is even writen Medical Car on the hood of the car.

that's not the Saftey Car, its the medical car. and he didn't loose control, he obviously wasnt told about the medical car being at turn 2 and just came round the corner too quick and didn't have enough time to steer around.

and i guess that is not a safety car but something like a medical car or whatever. safety car has been either some CLK or SL classes and won't be a wagon, instead other cars for medics or marshalls would be a wagon, that probably is some marshall or FIA staff there to clean up the debris

actually, theres always 2 sc's on hand at every event. Every gp I've been to, it has been the same wagon as in the video. what I've gathered its main purpose was to drive the track many times inbetween sessions checking for debris and issues with the track, as well as a backup sc.
