To the person who hurt him....his daughter will love, marry and bear children from a Mexican Man......think before hurting others, your family will become the "others."
reports on other places. I wonder how some of these specific stories resonated with Latinos overall who stories may or may not be exactly the same. Don't get me wrong, it's nothin wrong with this approach, I'm just tryin to look at this from the perspective of Latinos in America as a whole.
I think maybe they shouldn't have focused so much on specific stories or cities. Maybe it would have been better if they talk to different latinos from different parts of U.S.A. about certain problems they faced would have been better, or at least they could have interviewed others from several places just to give an idea of how universal certain situations are among Latinos in America . Either they felt this approach was more engagin or entertainin or they didn't wanna spend the time to d0....
No doubt America's Demographics are changing. BUT the Media rarely focuses on the massive growth of intermarriage in the US, and the things which bind us together. Also @ 2:25 "That lady stated" - English may not be the main language of this country" - I don't know where she got her stats from - But all statistics and what see on the ground (as I work closely with Latinos) - shows US Born Hispanics speak English predominently, as with other immigrant groups!
Your logic is sound - I too agree yes America's Demographics is changing but ultimately the 2nd Generation Fuses/Assimilates @ least somewhat to the Wider American Culture. Particularly on Language, by the 3rd Generation 80% of Hispanics speak English predominantly. Even by the majority speak English Predominantly - So certainly in the wider US unlikely to happen. Also an interesting point about Inter.Mixed Marriages and the media in general - Good Post Rick!
Yeah, I remember seeing this he didn't deserve to get beating up like that. I mean, now his girlfriend and his kids are no longer going to have have him around. I can't imagine growing up without a dad.
this is what the Arizona law is doing to hispanic people. All hispanics, I am not talking about illegals. Illegals who come here to get welfare should go back. The government shouldn't give them welfare, but they do and they harass all hispanic people.

@MCExtra1 I think they focused more with in depth latino stories rather then a bunch of people´s opinions,
as we know opinions can be so different from eachother that they sometimes contradict each other.
So in depth stories about things that have happened is much better, and probably makes for better TV in general too..
