cure the slice: on the downswing, turn your hands so you close the clubface so much you feel like you are going to hit the toe of the club onto the ball. if it goes left, swing a little faster. if it still slices, close a little faster. eventually, you'll find the correct timing and you can hit the ball any direction you want ON PURPOSE.

swing a weighted club to develop an inside-square-inside path instead of the outside-in path. let your arms drop as your lower body leads the turn.

strengthen your grip, rotate your left hand to the right on the grip so all 4 knuckles are visible, and turn your right hand so that your thumb is on the right side of the grip.

Both of your thumbs should line up on the right side of the grip. This should cure your slice.

It works because if your hands are so uncomfortably right, then they will naturally move to the club to the left during the swing, and this will properly release the club, allowing you to hit the ball straight

Absolutely correct vwbmw93, hand placement is critical to a good swing and when an improper grip is adjusted it will allow for proper club release thus curing the hook or slice.
