  • Man, all those people's clothes must of given her some gnarly nipple chafe.

  • Entartete Kunst

  • its about looking for the link between aggressiveness and being subtle from mind thinking from hyperactivity why did it, and completely blank while crossing them... i don't know hehe

  • I personally think that the majority faced Marina based on her height. To be honest, if I were there I'd face Marina. I usually always face the smaller person when cutting through, even unintentionally. I think i do this because i myself, am small. :P Just an opinion to add

  • You should be in prison.

  • @JSabbat91 hahahahahahah

  • I noticed a pattern... when people were passing through facing the female (which most did), others would follow. When someone turned and faced the male instead, several did after. It wasn't necessarily random choice. People were simply following the crowd. I think this explains a lot.

  • I'm wondering how much this was done for shock factor, and what it's point is meant to be. But it's fun to see which model people will face as they go through. Some of them try to squeeze through looking forward.

  • It's interesting to see how almost everyone prefers to face the female rather than the male, regardless of their own gender. I wonder if that still were the case if the two performers switched positions. It could be that right-handed people prefer to put their left shoulder up front when squeezing through narrow places.

  • facinating

  • I always thought that the joke of this piece was if you faced the person of the same sex, you might be criticized as being gay, and if you faced the person of opposite sex you might be slapped for being lecherous. Either way, the joke could be on you.

Making it possible for both in the gate to be same sex causes the piece to lose some of that ponderous problem, IMHO.

  • @WrongTimeline I saw her exhibit at the moma last weekend, and it was two men. confusing...

  • I just saw it done at the MOMA w/ a man and a woman, which you passed to get to the rest of the exhibit. I thought it was quite well done. Though there was another way of getting through to see the rest of the exhibit whereas I think it should have been set up so that this was the only way through and you had to pass through the nudes in order to continue on to see the rest.

  • I hope that the performers take regular showers during the day and that there are showers on the premises.

  • @eddyvideostar Why should that be? Naked people don't stink. It's the clothes that make our sweat go stale and smelly.

  • To: Timrath. Yes, maybe; but, it would be impractical for one to refrain from taking showers and putting on clothes. Just as it looks better for a woman to cover her feet with a nice pair of pumps or heels, in order to bring attention to the positive, not toward what could be. Would one continue to lift up their arms to show his or her armpits? No. Good day.

  • @eddyvideostar Eh? We are talking about the two performers. You expressed your hopes that they would shower during their breaks at their performance, and I replied that that wouldn't be necessary. I fail to see how the first two sentences of your reply are relevant to that, while the third sentence doesn't make any sense at all. Who raised their arms to expose their armpits, what made them stop doing that, and what do they have to do with the question at hand? You got me totally stumped.

  • To:Timrath. My overall comment was not indicating that the performers exuded effluvium, I'm sure that did all that they could do in preparation for the exhibition and probably extra precautions during, would not be necessary. I was speaking in the "hope" of their doing such. The two enigmatic sentences were regarding general perception of "what could be," as the mind may associate visuals with olfactory elements, as: uncovered feet and exposed armpits. I hope this helped. Good day.

  • Saw it today at Moma done with 2 men. There were children there and it was interesting to see their reactions. They just stared and wanted to pass through as others were doing.

  • I re-performed this piece back in 2004 while in grad school and a little girl stood in front of us perplexed and really enjoyed looking at us! It was so moving as she asked her father why we stood there naked!

  • @jojopooo: The progression from "I personally would not enjoy" to "a sin worthy of burning in hell" suggests that you think you are God.

What would a child think? He/she might think it was gross. He/she might think it was funny. He/she might think it was unremarkable. Same as an adult, really.

  • @slimandslam Alright you go ahead and stick genitals in your children's faces because that's a natural part of growing up.

  • @slimandslam and by the way, I am God.

  • @jojopooo Dupe od konca.

  • @jojopooo Are you fucking crazy? Do you seriously think that a child would be shocked? I'm guessing that you don't have children of your own, otherwise you would have known better.

While I don't like performances of this kind (I just think it's lame), I see no reason why to react in such a hateful way as you did. It's not as if they forced people into anything. They all passed on their own volition.

  • @jojopooo Your close mindedness and ignorance towards this performance art (creating a relationship with the audience) is shocking. Without the constraints of clothing the human form is at its most natural, something that should be regarded as beautiful. It disgusts you? Does your own body disgust you? Will you clothes by 'infected' if they touch a breast?
