napatom +1; a very respectful post from a penguin fan. 'pittiberg', I would love to see a nice clean, hard check on Crosby, but would NEVER want to see his career get ended by a Flyer. Have a soul guys, Keith is still suffering to this day because if this hit, and his career was ended 5-8 years short because of it.
this is what sucks about the internet,bc there are alot of shitty flyer fans and pens fans on youtube...i remember jumping off the couch cheering away when keith got popped.then he was motionless and your heart sinks.bc at the end of the day you know he's a husband and a father first.this guy is the epitome of a warrior!!!!a number one class guy....hockey needs more like him.
darius kasparitis was interviewed in 2001 and openly admitted to feeling regret when it came to his check on lindros that started his string of concussions
trust me, rivalries are legitimate and pens and flyers fans will never feel sorry about each team's problems, but i would never wanna see a player's career cut short because of a player on my team
there's a difference between hitting and headhunting, scott stevens headhunted and dion phaneuf does now, and that is low and classless
@grimetime55 you have everything right except for Dion Phaneuf and Scott Stevens they weren't/aren't headhunters there a great physical presence in the game that's the main thing its a game and if we didn't have good hitters like them the game would change for the worse you need that physical presence or people will dance and skate around the ice with their heads down
This hit was in response to the game before. One of the Flyers (I forget who) fired the puck directly at Boughner. It hit him in the chest, but the league didn't take any action. Boughs, being the enforcer that he was, took it into his own hands. He didn't mean to knock him out cold, though.
Has anyone seen a pattern in the Flyers organization? Lindros... mulitple concussions in a short period of time, Primeau,...multiple concussions in a shrot period of time, Gagne... multiple concussions in a VERY short period of time. I am a Pens fan, and hate the Flyers on principle, but you hate to see these guys have their lives ruined because the doctors are too afraid to tell them they arent completely healed is sad.

@napatom2005 maybe that's a patern in the penguins orginization too that they can't stop these guys so they have to take out their heads

Another Cryer bites the dust. Umberger, Gagne, Lindros.........I don't want to be here all night. In conclusion: Philly sucks.
