We use a lot of different lines on the 11' 7 weights, it just depends on what you will be doing most of the time. A 9 weight Wulff Ambush is what I am using most of the time right now. I use a 10' sinking poly leader 7.0 ips most of the time and adjust my fly weight as needed.
But in depends, Because a switch rod is an intermediate between spey and one handed rods, Almost all of fly line will fits in it ( well, almost, a spey line, a skagit ,shooting head, long belly fly line, weight foward fly line etc, ) but it depends on what you want to do with your rod.
I like an AFS most of the time, but if you are throwing big flies w/ rabbit strips on them you may want to consider a Skagit Short or an Outbound Short (a shorter version of the AFS). I like either a 520 grain AFS or a 460, both cast fine for me. If you are new to the 2-handed rod sport then go for the 520 grain. Just make sure that the Versileaders that come with it you cut them down to 10' instead of the standard 15' it comes with.

How do you cast this line ? A scandi head for underhand cast style would have to be 28' long for a 11' rod...
