I've never given any of my cats a bath. I have a white cat, and he stays clean. Sometimes he gets a little black stuff on his shoulder blades where he can't reach when he goes under cars tho, and I have to help him out lol. He has fallen in the bath a few times and its funny watchin him shake his legs.

I have three cats. I never take a bath with them. Cats that are indoor don't necessary need to take a bath. I will only use a warm wet towel to rub their coats every other week.

I'll pass on this bit of info I got from a vat: If you do dry them with a towel, PAT them dry don't rub; their skin is very delicate and you shouldn't wash them very often.

cats tend to get really dirty from litter and stuff so you should bathe a cat about once every two months just to keep em fresh! =)

I have friends who live with cats, they dont bath them either. i couldnt decide if it is really necessary or not but thanks for the answer! :)

My cat runs and hides BEFORE his bath! At least, my old cat used to. He'd come home with a really unpleasant smell and a look of fear in his eyes 'cos he knew what I would do with him as soon as I smelled him.

He used to do the leg shaking business as well. I tried to speed things up for him with a hairdryer ONCE. I'd never seen him move so quickly :))
