OK, I'm gonna answer the Platinum question. Yes the games CAN connect. Why? You see, Platinums coding is heavily based off of Diamond/Pearl's coding. You can also connect this game HeartGold/SoulSilver, to my knowledge. Take PBR as an example. You can connect IT to any Gen 4 game, so why not this? And you can trade between DP and HG/SS, despite the 4 year difference. Hope this helps!

@MeMarioAndPeach No, from what I've read it connects w/ Diamond and Pearl, and there was a Japan-only update for it to work with Platinum. BUT you can just trade you HG/SS/PT Pokemon to Diamond or Pearl with a buddy, then put them on this.

1st question: Random, but she gives a characteristic, then you get to pick yes or no. If you keep on saying no, she will just run through a list of pokemon then just repeat the pokemon with different characteristics, but when you pick yes, she will give you a silhouette of the pokemon she is going to bring.

2nd question: You can get back pokemon that you deposited from the same game file.

On the main menu it should say something like "options" and you'll get a few different buttons. Then I think it's "wii console" or something like that, but somewhere under options it lets you change the name of your Wii which changes the name of your ranch. You can't change it on pokemon Ranch itself though.

Define "fast"? When you tranfer them back, they appear on a grid and you can choose one by one or "withfraw all"

If you have a pokemon that has the Pokerus, i'll trade any starter you'd like. Pokerus is a disease your pokemon gets to make it stronger each time it levels. It's pretty rare :P

i just got this game, and i was preparing for mew and phione, i already had the 1000pkmn ready so it was pretty easy. i think it was worth buying, mew had bad atks, but a few heart scales took care of that. and unfortunately u cant trade for hayleys pokemon (shame, because most of them are pretty rare)

My brother's Leafeon was on the ranch but she still asked for one. We had to put it back onto his Diamond then transfer it back to the ranch for her to recognize it and trade.
