  • they scoop a lot !

    and sound very weak

a little more work and man you guys will be amazing !

  • wth? i loved it. the end was a bit off. but other than, 5 stars

  • Blend and tonation were way off. Way too much soprano-not enough bass.

    Not my favorite arrangement

  • rough rouuuuuugh terrible rendition and composition...very pitchy very very bland

  • i love how serious the conductor is.... he must not hear well...

  • ew.

  • This was not such a great blend of singers. Pitches are all over the place and voices are not to pure with one another, in other words, poorly done, and not a great arrangment.

  • started off weak...horrible audience... but I really think you saved it near the end...GREAT JOB!

  • did we really need over one minute before the performance actually starts?

  • my choir sang the exact same arrangement. a tenor really needs to stop scooping up to notes, girls need to be louder, and the song needs to go faster. and the high b flat at the end would be effective if someone can reach it loud and proud. overall it definitely wasnt bad, i was just spoiled by my choir. but anyway it can really be something if you take all this into account. the last thing you want is to perform a very draggy version of the ssb.

  • Well just to clear up on things. Some people say that it sounds different but thats not true because there's parts like soprano, alto, tenor, and base. They sound different and when combined they have more harmonious sound to it. Just tell you I am a Tenor in my choir at my school :)

  • Great Job! The blending needs some work, vowels and toung placement is critical, you here it especially words like perilous,Notice some pronounced it peril us and some pronounced it periliss. Dynamics are also very important, it gets boring to listen to a choir who sings, note after note without going anywhere, singers need to use there muscles to support the notes. Be careful of glottal attacks, they are very present in "in the rockets red glare".

  • thanks =) I missed some of those details.

  • all i have to say is WOW =]

  • I love this performance. The choir did really well. I definitely loved the part when the guy went up on the "wave."

  • whos the stupid slut whispering ...ruined the entire video

  • I LIKE THE WAY U GUYS SANG WAVE

  • that's not a shirt. that's my coat. look harder please.

  • two years now. hahahaha nobodies commented for 10 months that's crazy!!!

  • Well, anyway, thanks for your comment.... actually, hope you enjoyed it.

  • haha, chinte. what, i liked our blending on free! especially altos. yummmy. :)

    Sarah

  • oopsie for the converses xD

  • the director takes a LONNG time to get it started..i mean come on....there good but he needs to have re thing underlined b4 the performance NOT DURING THE PERFORMANCE...

  • I wish I could hear more blending and less blaring. The bass sounds nice. The transitions could be smoother. But I did enjoy this.

  • Thanks for your critique! What you're noticing was that tenor was too throaty (thus overpowering) on the high notes. since soprano 2 came in late on "free" at the end it didn't blend right. This was the first concert i conducted!

  • damn!!! you guys are good .... i don't think bhs can compete!!!

  • harrr harrr matt has white shoes. XD

  • not only is he wearing white shoes his shirt isnt tucked in

  • This group/director shows promise. The kid in the middle with white shoes? A unified look goes hand in hand with a unified sound.
