  • this is a piece of shit anyway u cut it

  • None of our neighbors turn theirs off either. They've had them for years. If you turn it off during swimming, the pool gets so filthy it takes 24 hours just to get it clear again. Ours is on 24/7 except during a heavy storm. Also our filter feeds the chlorine which needs to remain steady during hours of swimming. The amount of time that it's used is too long to turn it off. Especially in direct sun, bacteria just breeds.

  • Running the filter while in the pool gives a chance of getting electrocuted , just thought i would let you know

  • @ThenYouKissMe Explain please?... The only connection between the pool and the pump is by plastic inlet and outlet pipes. There's more chance of being struck by lightening. lol

  • @geoffphuket It says it on the instructions in huge capital letters and has happened to my friends, and lets not forget the danger of hair getting sucked in, that has happened to me, just offering up friendly advice

  • @ThenYouKissMe Your friends were electrocuted in an Intex swimming pool? Please tell more so it won't happen to others.

  • @geoffphuket Please tell you more so it won't happen to others, umm read my last comment, do not have the filter running while in the pool

  • @ThenYouKissMe @ThenYouKissMe Sorry, but I think your 'story' of friends electrocuted in an Intex pool is complete rubbish - these pumps were designed to be run whilst the pool is in use. Intex merely advise the use of an ELCB, same as you would use on any outdoor electrical appliance. How do you think pool accessories like a sprayer are going to work if the pump isn't running? And what about public pools? Their systems are exactly same, only larger...and run ALL day.

  • @geoffphuket I dont really care what you think, i am following instructions and what has happened to multiple people, Hair can also get stuck in filters with these pools, All pools are different, Stop leaving me pointless comments i was just giving advice, piss off

  • @ThenYouKissMe Just correcting your dumb advice. 25 years as an electrician I think I know what I'm talking about....Oh, and what a nice person you are. Piss off? I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.lol

  • @geoffphuket Wow, so this is becoming about me giving friendly advice to me being on fire, lol you are wasting your time here trying to act all smart, go away and stop causing fights. You are now blocked :)

  • ok, I see your question, sorry...'m slow today again! LOL It WILL get the small stuff, but you have to get in, walk around netting it and stirring the stuff up from the bottom, to keep it going through the filter. When I do that, the next morning its chrystal clear :D

  • yes, it will get sand and smaller debris on he bottom. The vaccum is ok, but I'm thinking of upgraing it next year. It attaches to your garden hose & it takes a LONG time, because as you do it, you stir it up. But it's been easier this year for us, because we put it next to the deck and FINALLY cut out a doorway to go into the pool. Walking through the grass last year made it hard to keep up.

  • I havent tried to use the pump yet, will it get all the dirt at the bottom as well?

  • LOL....sorry, my spelling is awful this morning! Must have been the wine last night!

  • And I'd guess we've spent around 200$ on chemicals, those will last a better part of the summer. But this filter doesn't show alot on our electric bill. It's not high power. I'm considering switching to the sand filter. My neighbors have it on there's (same pool) & it works great.

  • The problem I have with the cover, is due to the size of the pull, when I try to put on the cover, it takes me a while & then when I pull it off, it sinks and everything goes in the pool anyway. I'm home alone in the mornings, so it's just me taking the cover off.

  • 4 feet. And I keep the filter running 24/7. Only because in the past, when we had the rubber intex, it got dirty quickly. The filter cartridges run 2 for 10.00$ US. We have gone threw several, but we don't keep the cover on either.

  • How deep would u say the pool is? Also, do u have to leave the filter running the entire time while the pool is in use?
