Ok. Here's the deal on this.This is George Edick's Club Imperial. Located on West Florrisant and Goodfellow in North St. Louis.This film is from 58'-59'. That is most likely, George Edick hosting the show at the Club. I am good friends with george's son Greg Edick who is an Incredible bass player that has toured w/ Chuck Berry and The Rolling Stones. The building is still standing and used as a club and (pardon the phrase) Ballroom. I grew up in St. Louis and I hope this clears the air.. thanks

Also, I believe the father of Tina's firstborn, Craig, is the sax player at the right, Raymond Hill, who was her boyfriend before she got involved with Ike.

@reginahumbard That's correct... Tina was with Raymond Hill and had her first son with him, however, their relationship ended when he broke his ankle and had to move back to Mississippi. She raised her son as a single Mother until she and Ike developed a romantic relationship in 1960 and she had their son Ronald in 1961. Ike and Tina were married in 1962. Tina left in 1976 and the divorce was finalized in 1978.

I love the eye roll Ike gives the host at :44 after he calls Jimmy Thomas a "boy". And the tone in his voice when he says "splish-splash" indicates a bit of offense to my ear. I think seeing how diminutive Ike is provides some context to the physical abuse of Tina that relative giant Lawerance Fishburn did not bring to the role.

@cassieann1000 Cadillac Records was extremely inaccurate. I know this as a fact. I was Hubert Sumlin's driver and guitar tech for several years. The stuff about Wolf, Muddy and Hubert was total bullshit, that's not what really happened. The Little Walter portrayal was fantasy as well. I also know the actual musicians that did the soundtrack and have performed will all but Kim Wilson.

Wrong. The Treniers, one of the first R&B groups who sang proto rock were on white tv in May of 1954, appearing on the Colgate Comedy Hour with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. But I agee, this video is from 1958 or thereafter because Bobby Darin and Murray the K did not write the song until 1958.
