  • by the way, mine is a huge adult female sulcata. She's about 4 feet long three feet wide. A giant even for her species.

  • Mine, SpeedBump is very mild mannered. She'll run a bit sometimes, but she never attacks. As for the male biting the female, the male will bite the chick on the neck and front legs as a prelude to mating. As for digging, oh yeah. They dig up to 10 foot deep burrows. In the wild they'll spend more time underground then topside. Be advised, they also like to ram holes through your doors and walls for fun. hehe.

  • that's normaly male ritual combat. He was trying to drive off your shoe to prove he's a worthy mate to any females that might be in the area.

  • ive seen tortoises as a house pet and its a shame when they are lonely.

but my grandparents split theres up and the male tunneled under the wall and bite the female one.

I didnt know tortoises had mole like qualities

  • what type of tortoise is that, i think it might be a greek tortoise

  • Tortoises are very territorial. This happens alot. They like to bite, too, but that's how they "investigate" things since they can't see, hear, or smell very well.

  • haha go him.

  • means that he is pissed for some odd reason
