wow, that was really cool bro. I am trying to obtain my life guard licence , and only yesterday i have been told i will need to swim 100 metres with my head above the water. I have been so use to swimming 100 metres with bio lateral breathing, i dont know if this type of swimming will make it easier for me or more difficult. never tried it, need to Try this A.S.A.P!!! Im nerveous, if im going to find this difficult???
@Theshofumiah1 This will absolutely make it MORE DIFFICULT. This drill is about overloading the kick and the front of the catch. If you're in need of keeping the head up for lifeguarding, you will probably need to be searching for "sighting" drills, or "open water siting". Lifting the head in your application would be to find the swimmer, once seen, put the head down so you can get to them faster, then frequently lift, look, then go.
i find it really difficult to relax when kicking when im doing this drill
