Metroid other M kicks fu""ing ass. I understand why some people don't like this game but damn....

Metroid Prime was my all-time favorite Metroid game until I've played Other M. My only complaint is that the game was too short.

I forgot to mention this: as for the fps mode they obviously wanted to focus specifically on a 2d side scroll/platform game. The ability to not move in fps is imo great b/c it limits the use. If you can actually walk and shoot in fps what is the point of having it be a 2d side scrolling? People will just use fps anyways.

The thing that would've made this game better was an option menu (I have to restart if I skipped or missed something), able to skip the c-scenes, and more control schemes if you aren't going to use the pro controller atleast be able to use the nunchuk. As for the difficulty it possibly wanted to use the same mechanics as the metroid series (super/nes). Possibly good for speed runs like the zero mission on gba?

@IBigBoyI meh once you get used too it its easy to use the control i gotten all power up and its wasnt too bad yeah they could of add the nunchuk but i think this its good too in my opinion .

It would have been hilarious if the creature impregnated Samus.

G4 a girl gave this game 2 out of 5 stars. The Game is Horrible.. and makes Samus look like a Wimp. The Story sucks balls. Game Informer also gave this game a 6.25 out of 10. Seriously Way to Ruin a Franchise Nintendo!

@muskydragon samus its a girl after all cant make looks super bad ass girl on steroid plus she telling the story and how she feel for adam duh so she cant act the way you want too buddy , plus this is the 1st game with CS and voices , this game actually good but it had some bad stuff as well, and just because some idiotic web sites gave it a bad review doesnt mean its a bad game , it only for that person that review it.

They tried best not to screw up the formula and the Music and sound effects are no where close to this crap. Nintendo has plenty of Money and frankly I am selling my Wii. Before Nintendo dissapoints me further.

@muskydragon Go ahead and sell your Wii, you're a disappointment to Nintendo. The music and sound effects were great. How could they have messed up the formula when it is the exact same formula from every other game. The only thing I will say could have been improved is the scan scenes where the objects are barely visible. If you don't like it, go back and play Super "Matroid" (really?) or the Metroid Prime Series.

@muskydragon i always play any metroid games i even beat all games 100% power ups and all the secret ending for primes plues i like other M yeah it has some stuff they didnt add but overall its a good game maybe they could of made it better but its still good.

@muskydragon What, you didn't have enough of your hentai earlier? Besides, G4 gives horrible ratings for games that aren't made in America, and Game Informer America just played the game blindly. Game Informer Australia gave it 8/10, so obviously America has issues. This game is just what Nintendo needed to improve popularity of 2D games.

Echoes and Hunters are definitely worse than this game. I've actually had some fun playing Other M (despite not being able to skip the ridiculous cutscenes). It's not up there with Super Metroid but I also didn't expect it to be.

Apparently that thing IS Ridley. The wiki says he was cloned because the federation is full of dumbasses. You saw the husk of the tiny thing right? This thing came from that, and Ridley comes from the husk of THIS thing.... At least... So I've heard. Seems very, very logical to me... You saw the creepy look that thing gave Samus, and how this one just waited for her to try and kill her...
