I've had two of these- the first one sounded very nice but the pickup was bad. I exchanged it and my new one doesn't sound anywhere near as nice. I find mine goes out of tune often (ie every 30-45 minutes of playing). After nine months of this I'm looking for a replacement.

sounds like an good starters uku, new strings on it and just put it in my peavey viper. done,

Keep it up man, i'm learning uke too and just bought a mahalo as a starter, any serious complaints about it? Mine hasn't arrived yet.

Second that you should play these Mahalos before purchasing. Some are good, many are not. Nice review!
