Alright, leaving aside the plot inconstants for a moment; what about John Williams and his brilliantly subtle score during the sequence...just a continuo on the bottom of the piano, accompanied by some strings in high registers to reflect Cory in danger; from the injury sustained during the collapse of the bridge, the fallen power lines, and the oncoming water. "High tension," no?

I am sorry but Cory- the kid- should be dead. He is bleeding from the skull. He fell into a ditch and there is electrical wires flying around, not to mention oncoming water. I would have presumed him dead and left him there, to go on and find a safe place for myself. If such a thing really happened.

I love Genevieve Bujold, but she should have died too. It was soooo unrealistic. She is hanging and wires are nipping at her feet and water is flooding towards her- talk about total luck. Haha.
