@vidbot123 A duramax isn't a "car," it is a truck and yes it does matter. With a dmax, you get better fuel milage, it will last longer with less maintenance, you can roll coal all over people, it will pull like a mule, and it will still outrun almost anything. @suedepolo Theres custom peterbuilts out there with 24v71's with enough torque to rip themselves apart. Some of those trucks run at best low 10's on the strip. Ive seen a Pete with a 16v71 run a 13.4 at out county fair. Its entirely true.

Isuzu diesel is beast diesel. Oh, I didn't say Isuzu did I? I meant GM because THAT'S who makes them. The Duramax was designed after GM bought a share in Isuzu, but Isuzu has been making diesel engines since the 30s. If you really want to get into ownership of these companies, you better bring a REALLY BIG calculator and piece of paper. I've been looking in Class 8 trucks. AB Volvo owns most of Mack, but Renault owns part, Daimler, Navistar, Paccar brands...ALL are built here in the USA.
Have you ever thought about how we are getting screwed. I mean we as Americans own part of GM, and we don't even see any of the profits or even a new truck or car to go trade off on a ford or dodge.
I think the duramax diesel is great for what its meant to do and that tow. Ford used to be partnered with land rover and couldnt think to use the land rover companies resources to make a great awd drivetrain. gm on the other hand worked with isuzu to make diesel engines that cant be out beaten. to me its kinda funny to see people do that with the duramax diesel. its really funny when the people that drive the ricers get beat by a truck that weighs 6300 lbs.
@cheesegrater83 its not impressive that something out ran a mustang, most people find it impressing to shave off 2-3 seconds on a 1/4 mile time of a truck like that with only about $5000 in modifications. At the time this video was taken the truck only had a stage 4 suncoast trans and a PPE programmer. $15000-$20000 later it just ran a 12.1
@racer135790 I just went to that same track two days ago and out ran a brand new supercharged challenger that was also spraying nitrous. I can beat a new mustang no problem.
How can everyone commenting be so clueless? Cummins is an individual diesel engine manufacturing company that makes a couple models for contracts with Dodge and Ford. Neither Dodge or Ford own Cummins. Fiat owns Chrysler. Isuzu was owned by GM and was a division of GM back when Duramax was designed. GM owns Duramax 100% and built every single one in america. General Motors Corporation. I'm done commenting its a waste of time you can research facts which I suggest cause you're all really clueless
@ls3100sfi what i think is that ur clueless about GM owning Isuzu, Isuzu designed the Duramax engine for GM corporation since Isuzu have a technology of building diesel engines and yes, it's a foreign company not some American manufacture
And finally this guy speaks the truth. Man nobody on here knows a good god damn thing they are talkin about. like a bunch of high school kids read a couple magazines and think they know the world. Ugh so frustrating
@ls3100sfi ya other than you and like 4 other people that comment on vids like this are just talking out their asses. You sir are correct!! i hate all the time seeing people saying duramax is a jap motor. but it is youtube....full of know it alls that havent got a clue in the world about 90% of the garbage they put in their comments!!!!!
@ls3100sfi Only additional comment I would make is that Cummins has never made engines for ford. The Power Stroke is made by Navistar International, which is a division of International Harvester.
@vadersbain The new Powerstrokes are made by Ford not Intl. The IDI's and Powerstrokes up to the 6.7 were made by Internation wih is a part of Navistar. And btw IH is not a part of the Navistar corporation, not trying to be a dick or anything. IH is its own corporation, under CIH.
@97StrokerGuy not too get off topic, but it's CNH now. New Holland and Case IH merged. I'm an international fan but never did like their powerstroke engine.
@ls3100sfi Dude i have been trying to explain this to thousands of people about the Duramax engine. Finally someone else knows what the hell there talking about. I give you props sir.
@ls3100sfi sorry, but you also need to get some of your facts straight. Ford used International to build their engines until recently. Ford now makes their own diesel when the 6.4L Powerstroke came out. Dodge still uses Cummins.
@rmmossut84 I want you both to understand that Ford only builds that motor, they purchased the rights to build that motor the same way International did. To mean they still don't build their own engine, since 1982 GM has ran a diesel in a truck. It all started with a 6.2L, then 6.5L Turbo, and now the 6.6L turbo and if you search up the Opel Eco Diesel race car you will see a foreign diesel GM also builds for the rest of the world. It gets 113mpg.
@rmmossut84 The medium duty and heavy duty ford trucks have used cummins engine since the 80's. The contract with international is long gone. Ford cant make a high displacement diesel with any power to save their lives because all technology required to do so is patented b Cummins and Detroit Diesel.
You would be surprised, diesels can have both if you buy the right one and know the right people to work on it. I've heard of 4x4 pick-ups getting into the 8's.
If you look at 0:12 it shows the truck has the Green light, the car is still red. Not a fair race. I'm a truck man myself, and diesel's kick ass, but this is a shady race!
@vibe1jeep it could have been like that for a reason i no what ur talkn about tho iv been to races somethims when there a diffrent time brakets they start later if they have a fastr time
duramax will smoke cummins and powerjoke without a problem. the brains behind Duramax is way beyond all the others. read the facts, duramax is on top and will stay that way. they are the shit to say the least. the longest lasting trucks on the road. and mustangs are overated!!! piles of shit!! haha
@orbitofdoom16 give the mustang 600hp and the duramax 600hp....the duramax would still win. the 5.0L is missing a little thing called torque....that 5.0L would have maybe 500-600Lb-Ft with 600hp, the duramax would be between 1000-1500Lb-Ft
@timmypstyle The Duramax has alot of this thing called weight. Tourqe isn't a big thing in drag racing. Unless they are pulling, then it doesn't matter.
@orbitofdoom16 torque is HUGE in drag racing. torque is what gets you moving. if you had 600hp and 0 torque, you arent going anywhere. all those cars with their chassis twisting is not from having 400hp, its from having 400Lb-Ft. a duramax truck can pull close to 25000Lbs. so when it is only moving its own weight, it is easy for it. there are countless videos of diesels beating muscle cars that have less or the same hp and more than 2x the weight, but they win because they have 3x the torque
The 3 quickest trucks in my area are all GM. One is 1971 Chevy with a 350 that will run 140+, the 2nd is a 05 Chevy 2500 Duramax, and the 3rd is an 07 GMC canyon with a 5cyl
Duramax was designed by GM engineers, GM owned Isuzu! and theyre built in america. Duramax have more horesepower and torque than cummins which dodge doesn't own, and Fiat owns dodge... not to mention dodge transmissions are a joke unless theyre new with the allisons GM has used for years
@jameson1333 r u dumb lol they have built allisons i know becuase my buddie owns a diesel shop and all of them are useing the allisons with suncoast or ats internals
@jameson1333 Oh wow you are fucking stupid. They are not using built 48RE's they are using something called a built ALLISON!!!!! I dont know why I waste my time on here cause people on here are so fucking stupid it makes me laugh.
@erokthizzle I'm sure the majority are using built allison's..but some really high horsepower duramaxes run 48re's because the allison isn't handling it. I'm not saying the allison isn't a good tranny. I think it's a way better tranny that the 48re stock for stock. All I'm saying is the aftermarket sector has way more available for the 48re which is why dmax owners are using them....
@theyreretardes Lets see, wrong. The duramax was not designed by GM. It was a Caterpillar designed engine for gm. I am a chevy guy but cant give the credit to GM for the engine. Yes they are built by Isuzu you are right about that.
@royalgixxer Actually you should know what your talking about cause you just make yourself look like a complete idiot. The Duramax is a joint venture between Isuzu and GM. Basically Isuzu helped GM Design the duramax. Caterpillar had nothing to do with duramax. No Duramax is not built by isuzu it is built at a GM factory here in the United States. The only us truck caterpillar had anything to do with was the HEUI injection on Powerjokes which are built by international.
@theyreretardes Gm never owned isuzu, the closest they got was 49% from 1999 to 2002. The Dmax is isuzu designed and was built in a shared plant. Gm did the deal to appropriate isuzu's diesel design, as proven in 2002 when they trade the shares from 49 to 12 % in exchange of isuzu's engine designs. Gm had no diesel experience for over 10 years since the 6.2 and 6.5 were Detroits diesel. Heck even toyota is after isuzu now to try and benefit from isuzu's diesel engines !
@Veikra Really then go to an Izuzu parts center for trucks and buy a part and I promise you GM will be stamped on the box or bag GM owned 49% of Izuzu
motors traded stock for truck division trust me I own an NPR box truck and remember Izuzu never made a v-8 they machine parts for GM because they are equipped for it
@carlson2469 first it's isuzu, not izuzu. Then the duramax was developped by isuzu at the gm/isuzu plant for gm, so normal the parts are branded gm. And second, if you dont have shares , you dont own simple as that. Gm got the design of the duramax, and isuzu got it's shares back. It's not proper to says isuzu is owned by gm anymore. And you have a npr in north america I take it, of course gm takes a cut on parts. The npr are straight rebrand only the gas engines are gm, the 5.2 an 7.8are isuz
@carlson2469 I've owned a lot isuzu cars I can tell you loads about how much rebrand gm has done. Some electronics such as coil packs were the same as a on the 3.1 to 3.8 gm v6 since the electronics were gm in those cars and they were 20$ more expensive . Same part + rebrand. It sucks but that's how it worked. Back then they had 49% shares . Be carefull if you buy at gm, you can sometime buy from a gm branded truck and get the parts cheaper :)
@carlson2469 Ford has never owned more than 10 percent of the cummins company. And even so, they havent owned that much of Cummins in YEARS. Do some research before you put out bad information.
@theyreretardes Finally someone with knowledge speaks! GM bought Isuzu and they design the engines but they are built right in the U.S. The Duramax comes stock with like 400 HP today and exhaust brakes. The Powerstrokes have nothing on them and neither to the Cummins. Chevy makes the toughest trucks to last the longest. I have a 2003 Duramax with 180 thousand on it and it runs like a champ! Always pulling heavy loads with no problem at all. Not a drop of black smoke ever! Amazing Truck.
@WhiteNuklz966 i bet if you finished your research you also know they are notorious for over heating, blowing head gaskets and leaking fuel into the crankcase. My old power joke had almost 200k when i sold it and it is still runin strong and my cummins has 160k and goin strong. The new power joke has 400 horsies the d max has 385
@godsmack8807 i guess you didnt read january or february's edition of diesel power when they put the duramax against the new 6.7 on a grade climb test, towing.. go check it out
@Teelo888 yes actually i did but im saying they need to actually hook them up and see who can actually tow more physical weight not just drive through some mountains and say duramax wins. They need to hook them up to max loads and see who actually pulls more
@svt89 yea and it doesn't mean shit. cummins and powerstrokes rattle when they idle. all my dmax does is make noise from the 400 hp motor and nothing but a bark from the straight pipe and bully dog tune. bet you cant find a ford or dodge that DOESNT blow black smoke with a programmer. thats because they dont run good. my duramax pulled a 12 thousand pound truck/trailer from san deigo to arizona and didnt blow a drop of black smoke. its a healthy truck.
@WhiteNuklz966 All diesels will rattle and it all depends on the tune you go with i havent seen one diesel that doesnt smoke with a tune. And find me a duramax with over 400k thats still going you wont cummins is the best light duty diesel that you can get cummins has been in pickups since the 80s duracrap haha only for 10 years and how you liking them shitty ass injectors lmao.
@svt89 are you fucking joking man , you must be retarted to say the duramax has shitty injectors, last time i checked its a cummins that cant go more than 150000 on a set , oh and how much are cummins injectors ?? last time i did a set it was 1900$ each, why dont you work a few thousand diesels before running your mouth off like you know everything, the dmax is superior in every way to the powerjoke and especially the cummins for light duty applications, and have by far the best injectors
@CBCOlympics 2001-04 durajokes coundnt even make it past 20k before needing new injectors. And wow you really ripped the guy off at 1900$ hell 250hp injectors aint even that much i can pick up a set for 900$.Im sure you really worked on a few thousand diesels lmao and cummins is the best light duty diesel and let me no when you get over 500k out of the duramax haha. And o yeah let me no when you own a diesel word of advice stick to your 383 you might no more about it:)
@svt89 the new 6.7 injectors are $1900 oem, at least they were when that engine first came out , im a mechanic and i get to work on your preciouse cummbags all the time i dont expect you to believe me nor do i care if you believe me ..just dont act like you know what your talking about when clearly you dont, p.s your a fucking fool for saying a cummins is the best light duty diesel ,
@CBCOlympics Cool story bro let me no when they make a duramax for class 8 diesel thats right they dont cummins is the best diesel on the market for pickups enough said but i see your from canada 1900$ for injectors man you girls sure do get riped in your country.
@svt89 my dmax has 185,000 miles on it and the injectors are just starting to go because all the truck did was work! its not a truck that mommy and daddy bought so there kid can be all cool and drive his diesel to school everyday. its pulled a 20,18, and 46 foot trailer/rv and in the winter it plowed snow all year long and drove 1 and a half hours to work one way. and when it got to work it plowed a 70 acre lumberyard and often pulled out semis. get your facts straight
@svt89 Everyone i know has over 400k, and there still pumping the hell out of cummins. That 6 cylinder inline is prone for disaster. The only people i know who don't are mommy and daddys boys who had there trucks given to them. Do all of these damn tunes and mods that there not built for, before breaking them in. THats when they dont last. Cant afford one so i got myself a c4 vette. Im at 130k now. Roadcorse time. :D
@WhiteNuklz966 guess ya truck wasnt diesel if it didnt blow black smoke. Black smoke is the turbo kickin in. Know ya diesels. Go back to the zoo ya ugly redneck
@WhiteNuklz966 180k, i think you just finished breaking it in. xD I have a buddy who just hit 600k. He ships cars that people order off ebay, other dealers, etc. He says its finally time for a rebuild. :P
@WhiteNuklz966 But yet now the Cummins and Powerstroke habe 800lbs ft of torque from factory (just to remind you, thats more than the new Duramax's) and both have more HP at the flywheel than a Duramax. And Chevy being the best truck, sometimes I wonder. Im a Ford guy myself, but I do have a specail place for Duramax's in me, I somewhat like them. I have a 97 PSD with 202k on it and runnin like new, and has less rust (none) than my gpa's 02 GMC, and ha sbeen a PA truck its whole life.
@97StrokerGuy the powerstroke has maybe 30 more hp and 60 pound feet than the duramax, but the thing is chevy released the hp/tq numbers for the duramax before ford did for the psd. Ford had to rethink thier game to compete with chevy...
@stanleytherat and ford still can't compete hahahaha. I think this is the first year that ford ever had more torque and hp than chevy. Duramax always had more than cummins or powerstroke.
@theyreretardes When the Duramax was made Isuzu owned 60% of the venture and GM owned 40%. GM didn't have majority ownership at the time it was created, but they do now, after the success of the Duramax and Isuzu in general. Nor do all Dodge transmissions suck, it is just the automatics. The nv4500 and nv5600 are two of the best manual transmissions ever made, for a stock truck. I just wanted to set things straight.
@7150285 That is correct. After the Duramax's success GM purchased its larger share and continued improvement on the engine. Most old one's (2001-2004 LB7) have injector issues but that was the only problem really, GM fixed it in later models and now its a darn good engine.
@TheGuyNoOneRemembers u either gotta be a true American patriot or a veteran so thats prolly y u would say that and btw, there r plenty of imports vehicle that'll corrupt u as well.....
@TheGuyNoOneRemembers two different things...r u talking about speed or torque?? and yes i would like a Duramax for pulling but for not racing BMWs, Mercedes, and Nissan Skylines...
@theyreretardes well to complete your story gm didnt own isuzu until about 6 yrs ago and gm and isuzu built that engine together back before gm bought out isuzu its 60% gm and 40% isuzu made.
@theyreretardes thats a GMC Sierra.... bad news for you.. GMC is Canadian.... (General Motors Canada) hence they're more expensive. more expensive parts, different parts, and most cases.. better parts
@ashho56 Are you retarded? He's right. DODGE is owned by Fiat, previously by Daimler. Cummins is an independent company. They contract with Dodge. GM is owned 30% by the government. Ford currently makes the PowerStroke, which until now has been built by International.
@mcrissjr I think you must be retarded, GM is owned by Fiat, not dodge, and ford built the cummins. by contract with dodge, they couldnt use it in ford trucks.
@ashho56 OI! Hey stupid, wake the fuck up. Cummins is independent, GM is owned by the US Government not Fiat, and Ford might be able to get their hands on Cummins engines because Dodge isn't doing too well financially.
@ashho56 You sir are a colossal moron. Please do us all a favor and pull your head out of your ass, and put the crack pipe down for five minutes, and try to absorb reality.
GM is majority owned by Uncle Sam
Chrysler Corporation is owned by FIAT
Cummins is its own company making Diesels for light, medium, and heavy duty trucks.
@conman5304 Whatever you say...Go look up the facts, call the companies on the phone, do some research and then come back and tell me something... i already have my facts straight.
@killerkrab42 the government has 30% share in GM at the moment, that's not 'owned by'. GM still makes their own decisions. Dodge does not own Cummins (not Cummings). Dodge CONTRACTS with Cummins. If Cummins wanted to, they could go build motors for Ford. They already do build motors for Peterbilt, Kensworth, etc. Don't speak if you're half retarded.
@theyreretardes i will agree with everything you've said there, and yes its actually amazing seeing two top performing companies going head to head with one another, and the other one is really only there bcuz it used the opponents transmission design, which dodgde does have awesome cars and trucks, i love dodge and chevy! fuck ford(which is the only one thats doing half way decent right now in the big 3...
every time Im at a stop lite with my 5.0 and there is a straight pipe diesel truck beside me they always rev it up and want to race me. thats why I am starting to hate diesel owners
no, ive never raced a truck actually. It just seems like very truck owner thinks there truck is the fastest vehicle on the road. Even my brother in his 06 cummins thinks he could beat me with just a CAI, exhaust and a tuner. But when I ask him if he wants to just to shut him up he always has an excuse on why he can't
thats a cummins, they're fucking garbage. hahahahaha But your 5.0 is quick i know, its the only mustang i would ever own. I own a duramax and its so quick for an 8000 pound vehicle, it runs high fourteens stock.
Im not tryin to be mean, but the cummins is one hell of an engine. The dodge trucks are shit though. If I could have a truck it would be an 04 Super Duty with an 07 cummins 5.9 24 Valve. The main reason why I won't buy a duramax is because Isuzu makes them over seas
thats how it done in a duramax

@97StrokerGuy not too get off topic, but it's CNH now. New Holland and Case IH merged. I'm an international fan but never did like their powerstroke engine.

BallisticTip270WSM 8 months ago
@ls3100sfi sorry, but you also need to get some of your facts straight. Ford used International to build their engines until recently. Ford now makes their own diesel when the 6.4L Powerstroke came out. Dodge still uses Cummins.
rmmossut84 7 months ago
@rmmossut84 i really appreciate your comment. ive driven a 2008 ford f 650 with a 6.7L Cummins
ls3100sfi 7 months ago
@rmmossut84 I want you both to understand that Ford only builds that motor, they purchased the rights to build that motor the same way International did. To mean they still don't build their own engine, since 1982 GM has ran a diesel in a truck. It all started with a 6.2L, then 6.5L Turbo, and now the 6.6L turbo and if you search up the Opel Eco Diesel race car you will see a foreign diesel GM also builds for the rest of the world. It gets 113mpg.
SSCamaroMan345 6 months ago
@rmmossut84 The medium duty and heavy duty ford trucks have used cummins engine since the 80's. The contract with international is long gone. Ford cant make a high displacement diesel with any power to save their lives because all technology required to do so is patented b Cummins and Detroit Diesel.

orbitofdoom16 1 year ago
@orbitofdoom16 give the mustang 600hp and the duramax 600hp....the duramax would still win. the 5.0L is missing a little thing called torque....that 5.0L would have maybe 500-600Lb-Ft with 600hp, the duramax would be between 1000-1500Lb-Ft
timmypstyle 1 year ago
@timmypstyle The Duramax has alot of this thing called weight. Tourqe isn't a big thing in drag racing. Unless they are pulling, then it doesn't matter.
orbitofdoom16 1 year ago
@orbitofdoom16 torque is HUGE in drag racing. torque is what gets you moving. if you had 600hp and 0 torque, you arent going anywhere. all those cars with their chassis twisting is not from having 400hp, its from having 400Lb-Ft. a duramax truck can pull close to 25000Lbs. so when it is only moving its own weight, it is easy for it. there are countless videos of diesels beating muscle cars that have less or the same hp and more than 2x the weight, but they win because they have 3x the torque
timmypstyle 1 year ago

Duramax was designed by GM engineers, GM owned Isuzu! and theyre built in america. Duramax have more horesepower and torque than cummins which dodge doesn't own, and Fiat owns dodge... not to mention dodge transmissions are a joke unless theyre new with the allisons GM has used for years
theyreretardes 2 years ago 33

erokthizzle 1 year ago
@erokthizzle I'm sure the majority are using built allison's..but some really high horsepower duramaxes run 48re's because the allison isn't handling it. I'm not saying the allison isn't a good tranny. I think it's a way better tranny that the 48re stock for stock. All I'm saying is the aftermarket sector has way more available for the 48re which is why dmax owners are using them....

jessethorntonstone 1 year ago
@theyreretardes Lets see, wrong. The duramax was not designed by GM. It was a Caterpillar designed engine for gm. I am a chevy guy but cant give the credit to GM for the engine. Yes they are built by Isuzu you are right about that.
royalgixxer 1 year ago
@royalgixxer Actually you should know what your talking about cause you just make yourself look like a complete idiot. The Duramax is a joint venture between Isuzu and GM. Basically Isuzu helped GM Design the duramax. Caterpillar had nothing to do with duramax. No Duramax is not built by isuzu it is built at a GM factory here in the United States. The only us truck caterpillar had anything to do with was the HEUI injection on Powerjokes which are built by international.
erokthizzle 1 year ago
@theyreretardes Gm never owned isuzu, the closest they got was 49% from 1999 to 2002. The Dmax is isuzu designed and was built in a shared plant. Gm did the deal to appropriate isuzu's diesel design, as proven in 2002 when they trade the shares from 49 to 12 % in exchange of isuzu's engine designs. Gm had no diesel experience for over 10 years since the 6.2 and 6.5 were Detroits diesel. Heck even toyota is after isuzu now to try and benefit from isuzu's diesel engines !
Veikra 1 year ago
@Veikra Really then go to an Izuzu parts center for trucks and buy a part and I promise you GM will be stamped on the box or bag GM owned 49% of Izuzu
motors traded stock for truck division trust me I own an NPR box truck and remember Izuzu never made a v-8 they machine parts for GM because they are equipped for it
carlson2469 1 year ago
@carlson2469 first it's isuzu, not izuzu. Then the duramax was developped by isuzu at the gm/isuzu plant for gm, so normal the parts are branded gm. And second, if you dont have shares , you dont own simple as that. Gm got the design of the duramax, and isuzu got it's shares back. It's not proper to says isuzu is owned by gm anymore. And you have a npr in north america I take it, of course gm takes a cut on parts. The npr are straight rebrand only the gas engines are gm, the 5.2 an 7.8are isuz
Veikra 1 year ago
@carlson2469 I've owned a lot isuzu cars I can tell you loads about how much rebrand gm has done. Some electronics such as coil packs were the same as a on the 3.1 to 3.8 gm v6 since the electronics were gm in those cars and they were 20$ more expensive . Same part + rebrand. It sucks but that's how it worked. Back then they had 49% shares . Be carefull if you buy at gm, you can sometime buy from a gm branded truck and get the parts cheaper :)
Veikra 1 year ago
@theyreretardes Hold your horses Gm still own's Izuzu truck division
Fiat does not own dodge never did Diamler Benz owned dodge

@theyreretardes Finally someone with knowledge speaks! GM bought Isuzu and they design the engines but they are built right in the U.S. The Duramax comes stock with like 400 HP today and exhaust brakes. The Powerstrokes have nothing on them and neither to the Cummins. Chevy makes the toughest trucks to last the longest. I have a 2003 Duramax with 180 thousand on it and it runs like a champ! Always pulling heavy loads with no problem at all. Not a drop of black smoke ever! Amazing Truck.
WhiteNuklz966 1 year ago 17
@WhiteNuklz966 i bet if you finished your research you also know they are notorious for over heating, blowing head gaskets and leaking fuel into the crankcase. @WhiteNuklz966 Cummins put exhaust brakes on theres in mid 2007 keep thinking your duramax will outlast a cummins lol.
svt89 11 months ago
@svt89 yea and it doesn't mean shit. cummins and powerstrokes rattle when they idle. all my dmax does is make noise from the 400 hp motor and nothing but a bark from the straight pipe and bully dog tune. bet you cant find a ford or dodge that DOESNT blow black smoke with a programmer. thats because they dont run good. my duramax pulled a 12 thousand pound truck/trailer from san deigo to arizona and didnt blow a drop of black smoke. its a healthy truck.
WhiteNuklz966 11 months ago
@WhiteNuklz966 All diesels will rattle and it all depends on the tune you go with i havent seen one diesel that doesnt smoke with a tune. And find me a duramax with over 400k thats still going you wont cummins is the best light duty diesel that you can get cummins has been in pickups since the 80s duracrap haha only for 10 years and how you liking them shitty ass injectors lmao.
svt89 11 months ago
@svt89 are you fucking joking man , you must be retarted to say the duramax has shitty injectors, last time i checked its a cummins that cant go more than 150000 on a set , oh and how much are cummins injectors ?? last time i did a set it was 1900$ each, why dont you work a few thousand diesels before running your mouth off like you know everything, the dmax is superior in every way to the powerjoke and especially the cummins for light duty applications, and have by far the best injectors
CBCOlympics 11 months ago
@CBCOlympics 2001-04 durajokes coundnt even make it past 20k before needing new injectors. And wow you really ripped the guy off at 1900$ hell 250hp injectors aint even that much i can pick up a set for 900$.Im sure you really worked on a few thousand diesels lmao and cummins is the best light duty diesel and let me no when you get over 500k out of the duramax haha. And o yeah let me no when you own a diesel word of advice stick to your 383 you might no more about it:)

97StrokerGuy 8 months ago
@97StrokerGuy the powerstroke has maybe 30 more hp and 60 pound feet than the duramax, but the thing is chevy released the hp/tq numbers for the duramax before ford did for the psd. Ford had to rethink thier game to compete with chevy...
stanleytherat 8 months ago

@TheGuyNoOneRemembers so do u mean most older Duramax is more of Isuzu and nowadays Duramax is more of GM??

@7150285 That is correct. After the Duramax's success GM purchased its larger share and continued improvement on the engine. Most old one's (2001-2004 LB7) have injector issues but that was the only problem really, GM fixed it in later models and now its a darn good engine.

no, ive never raced a truck actually. It just seems like very truck owner thinks there truck is the fastest vehicle on the road. Even my brother in his 06 cummins thinks he could beat me with just a CAI, exhaust and a tuner. But when I ask him if he wants to just to shut him up he always has an excuse on why he can't
mustang50dominates 2 years ago
thats a cummins, they're fucking garbage. hahahahaha But your 5.0 is quick i know, its the only mustang i would ever own.
