...evenings/weekends or in the middle of the night. Often it's been because they have a slow-ass cashier whom they need to crack the whip over. Trust me, I've been a cashier myself and I know when they're slow.
Also, if Wal-Mart has that many people in the store at like 1 in the morning, then they should be able to afford another fucking cashier, or at least have someone be a back-up.
There's no reason other than technical problems with the registers or an unusually super-busy day (like before a hurricane or during a Holiday like 4th of July weekend) to have lines that are 20 minutes long. If it's such a chronic problem, that means business is good and they can afford another fucking cashier. It's common sense.
Again, this is in both Supercenters and regular stores, but mainly in Supercenters.

I worked for sams club for 3 months at the begining of my first year at college here in Green Bay and I had gotten fired for helping someone else out. They said that I was always grumpy and rude to everyone while I normally kept people talking and laughing and try and have a good time. Managers there were not all that great really grumpy, and schopper32 is right about the managers. Now i work at bk making a dollar less an hour and now im able to stand this a hell of alot better than sams

However, if you have a problem with american workers being mistreated or neglected, then you'll have to stop buying 90% of the goods available in the USA. I don't think anyone at Wal-Mart does this on purpose. There's not one guy saying "How dare this man give away gift cards!" It's just a manger with a 1000 page book of rules and one is if anyone is standing in the doorway doing anything other then coming in and out of the store ask them to leave. I work for Walmart and this would have never happened at my Walmart. I have worked there for a long time and not all stores are the same it depends on the managers. all the wal-mart stores I have been to, exactly five of them, all of them have been dirty, scuzzy places. I don't like going to them. When I go to Target, its always clean. Go into a bathroom at Target, its so dang clean you can almost make computer chips. There's no reason other than technical problems with the registers or an unusually super-busy day (like before a hurricane or during a Holiday like 4th of July weekend) to have lines that are 20 minutes long. If it's such a chronic problem, that means business is good and they can afford another fucking cashier. It's common sense.
Again, this is in both Supercenters and regular stores, but mainly in Supercenters.

No, it wasn't the customers' fault that there were too few cashiers and some of them were slower than molasses in February. Wal-Mart Supercenters have like 30 registers and they had only 1-2 open at night despite REGULARLY having lines that were 15 minutes long. Quit blaming the customers for Wal-Mart's horrible service.

You will get canned, and for some bogus reason. They also 'coached' their employees about the dangers of voting democrat in 2008. This was in regard to unions and new laws for fair labor. I worked for sams club for 3 months at the begining of my first year at college here in Green Bay and I had gotten fired for helping someone else out. They said that I was always grumpy and rude to everyone while I normally kept people talking and laughing and try and have a good time. Managers there were not all that great really grumpy, and schopper32 is right about the managers. Now i work at bk making a dollar less an hour and now im able to stand this a hell of alot better than sams

The problem is that because workers are paid so little they can't afford to be choosy. They go for the cheap products because it is all they can afford which perpetuates the system that keeps them poor. It is a vicious cycle.
Also, it is like you said, the majority of the good on the shelves are made in China or some other country with a large cheap labor force. It isn't like we have much choice. It sucks.
