For those of you who haven't guessed, the "Flat Adverb" or adjective which can be used as an adverb without adding 'ly' was a grammar convention created long after Al graduated from college. It was actually one of many rule changes made to keep journalists and celebrity speakers from looking like idiots. However, it is just like the conjunction in that while it is correct, it is informal; so old people and grammar Nazis will have your ass if you overuse it.
