Al Unser Jr WOULD have been a winston cup champion had he been given a full time ride. He kicked lots of Nascar ass in those Iroc races. No matter what his personal life probs are/were I still love that guy.Miss watchin him race. Did yas ever notice, he don't get mad too often and not a whine bag.
It was all Petty's problem, the sissy-fest shoving match there ... Hillin could not control his car. Petty was being a petty sissy, .... petty could have looked in his rear-view mirror BEFORE approaching Hillin's car, and Petty could have steered to the left of Hillin.
BUT, PETTY WAS BEING PETTY AND CHOSE NOT TO STEER CLEAR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE HE CRAMMED INTO HILLIN'S CAR.
I wish Little Al had tried Winston Cup a few more times (though certainly not FULL time). He was the best of the IndyCar drivers in a stock car; he held the record for most IROC wins (11) for several years. Somewhat ironic that his move to Penske (who owned Rusty's NWC car) in 1994 didn't result in any Winston Cup racing for Al. I think he could have won some races once he got into the swing of things. (Based on his debut performance here, that woudn't have taken long.)

Also, lol @ whoever booed little Al at the end of his interview. He never raced again in NASCAR, good riddance.

@FrodothePuppet A.J. Foyt raced NASCAR on weekends when the Indianapolis-type cars wern't racing, and actually won several NASCAR races.
