Thank you for posting this. Hordon brings a gentle gravity, an unsettled wistfulness to the performance that is unique. His delivery of the lines is superb.
The problem is that other aspects of the performance are so silly (Ariel's unintentionally camp performance and ridiculous costumes - Caliban's annoying whining, etc.) that one has a difficult time appreciating Hordon's marvelous work.
Well, since *you* mentioned Ariel here: I'll just add that David Dixon appears more alien here than (as Ford Prefect) in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
