Your right. The industry of today, has to think ahead. We will not succeed as a race of people without it. Industry must think ahead. People criticize China for the one child per family act, but China had to make that decission. The rest of the world will have to adopt the same policy or face world war in search of food. Not Oil, but food. OPEC countries will not be OPEC for more than 5 years, due to, they're own manipulation of industry, by lowering production. They will starve, Industry.

It always atracts the human race, like a magnet to metal, the doom and gloom. Thats the way that MODERN mankind can control your thoughts. I believe, that it is too controversial for our generation to figure out. I know a great deal about earth science and our relationship with the planets, and I am not real sure how we factor into the green-house gas equation.
Pollution, on the other hand, and how we interact with other species and ourselves, is real obvious. We are in serious trouble. Global warming is a cyclic event that happens. Degrading our life support system(the earth and its resources)is suicide on a global scale.
This video hits the heart. It is powerful and scary. It brings out the world issues, not as global warming, but as mankinds actual participation of pollution, distruction and self anilation. Bravo, well done.

The problem is by oversimplifying a complex science, bad remedies may get applied which in the name of doing good to "save the planet" will actually doa lot of harm - killing people by keeping them in poverty in developing countries, for instance.
Great comment, Thank GOD the U.S. spends Billions on feeding poverty stricken countries, and helps them develope ways to produce food for themselves. I know this first hand. I spent most of my life helping with the work itself. Thanks for the great comment.

I have learned in life that nobody really wants to see or hear the truth. Only a small few of us even really care. Life itself has become so disposable. Societies live by the "I want it now-Philosophy"! World's populations are truly just as the mice being led to sea by the Pied Piper in the children's fairy tale! You are not alone in the fact that these images haunt others as well.
